HAD NEW FLOOR INSTALLED WITH “FLOATING PLANKS” OCT. 2021 . ABOUT MAY 2022 A SMALL ~3-4” “SEAM” PARTICLE CAME OUT UNDERNEATH OUR KITCHEN TABLE. PERHAPS ~ 2 WEEKS LATER THE BAKER VALEY FLOORS EMPLOYEE CAME OUT TO LOOK AT AND PHOTOGRAPH AREA ON FLOOR. SINCE WE DID NOT PUT A SMALL PAD UNDER THE CHAIR LEG THE WARRANTY WOULD NOT APPLY - WE WERE NEVER TOLD TO DO THIS. WE HAVE WAITED & WAITED ALL THESE MONTHS FOR THE REPAIR AND ALWAYS SOME STORY BEING GIVEN. WE WERE AWAY NOV. 10-DEC. 7 IN NC BUT OUR NEIGHBOR WAS OUR CONTACT AND BVF HAD HIS NUMBER. I JUST PHONED BVF NOW (3PM, 12/12) AND AN EMPLOYEE SAID THE OWNER TOLD HIM THEY “SENT OUT SOMEONE LAST WEEK AND THEY WERE TURNED AWAY”. THIS IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE - NOW THEY’RE “MESSING” WITH THE WRONG PERSON. WE WANT THIS REPAIR DONE NOW AND NO MORE EXCUSES NOT LIES. I HAVE ALSO CONTACTED A LAWYER.
    NOTE:
I HAVE A RECEIPT OF 50% PAYMENT OF THE REPAIR COST FROM 8/24/2022

    Hello,

The repair in question was damaged caused by the owner and is not covered under warranty. This was explained several times. We came to the house to assess the damage. Upon assessment we created a repair plan that attempted to mitigate the costs to the customer. It was explained to the customer that our lead times for this type of repair was not know. We attempted to schedule and complete this repair twice unsuccessfully. It was clear that the customer continued to be dissatisfied with Baker Valley Floors. On December 21 the customer was issued a refund for their deposit. This check was cashed on January 11th.  This concluded any responsibility on Baker Valley Floors for the completion of the repair in question. At this time the floor continues to have a manufacturer warranty should any other warranty issues arise.
