I hired an electrician to install a mini split system for my condominium. The work was partially done and then the electrician disappeared. The work that was done was not done properly (as I am now trying to find someone to complete the work). I am being told it all needs to be ripped out. My requests for action have been ignored.

I am writing this review with a heavy heart and immense frustration after my experience with Mark J P Electrician LLC. Unfortunately, this has been a distressing and costly experience, both financially and emotionally.

    1. Incomplete Service and High Cost:
I contracted the services of Mark J P Electrician LLC six months ago with a clear agreement and a payment of $4000. Regrettably, the job remains incomplete to this day. This delay and lack of completion are unacceptable, especially considering the substantial amount paid.

    2. Lack of Communication:
Efforts to reach out for a resolution have been met with silence. Calls and texts are routinely ignored, leaving me in a state of uncertainty and frustration. This lack of responsiveness is highly unprofessional and disrespectful to a customer awaiting a service they have already paid for.

    3. Unprofessional Conduct:
In the rare instance when I did get through, the response was far from professional. Emotional reactions, such as crying, while understandable on a human level, do not align with the professional resolution I expected. While I empathize with personal challenges, as a client, I anticipated a more professional approach to resolving the situation.

Potential customers should be aware of the risks involved in hiring Mark J P Electrician LLC. It pains me to say that based on my experience, your project and peace of mind might be at risk if you choose to employ their services. I strongly advise looking for a more reliable and communicative electrician to ensure your project is completed satisfactorily and professionally.

I never meant to let anyone down . The past 14 years I’ve been working hard to succeed and make everyone happy but I could no longer get through a tough stretch and I didn’t make it . The company went bankrupt. I’m working on setting all my outstanding debts and refund customers . I’m in chapter 13 bankruptcy reorganization. I’ve just been keeping my head down and grinding away to make everyone whole and or negotiate a settlement through bankruptcy .

I paid Mark $1679 to install mailboxes, and rewire the doorbells that is connected to the mailboxes at 37-47 ******* ** in ******* Ma, and Mark never completed the work, gave excuses about waiting for parts, and now Marks phone is disconnected!

I guess you can see a pattern here with consumers and Marks’ work ethics!

In March of 2022 I called Mark about an electrical problem at a rental property I own in Melrose, MA. I had used Mark before. My tenant called and informed me that multiple lights and outlets were not working and there was an issue with the electric heat. Mark went to the apartment and determined that the major issue was water damage to the electrical panel.

Mark wrote up a quote of $11,622.55 on 3/4/22. I accepted the quote and paid Mark $5,811.27 via a personal check on 3/4/22 for a deposit, which was cashed. Over the next few weeks Mark and I were in contact about scheduling the work. Mark had restored the power to the outlets and lights, but could not do the majority of the work as he was waiting for parts. Over the next 16 months I would check in with Mark every month or so. Mark would always answer my calls/texts and explain he was waiting on the parts and he had some personal issues that was making him very behind.

Finally in July of 2023 Mark called and stated the part was in and he would coordinate with the tenants to complete the work. After we checked in with the tenants multiple times we learned that Mark had never contacted them. On 9/1/23, we tried calling Mark and his phone number was disconnected. My last contact with Mark was via text on 8/9/23. We continue to try his phone number, but it continues to be disconnected. I have also tried to email him with no response.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic I didn’t think too much of the delay as multiple projects we have done have been delayed due to supply chain issues. Mark has also done small jobs for us during the 16 months of waiting for this large project to be complete. Also, Mark also had some of the required parts for the job at the property until a few months ago when he picked it up. He did not notify me of this, my tenant recently told us. However, given the large deposit we gave him and the lack of work and now lack of communication I am filing a complaint and seeking to get our deposit back.
