    Ordered item from Devco Corporation back in February 2024 in which I also paid in full. At the time of the order, I was provided with a 6 week Lead Time ETA for the item, which is 3/29/2024. Devco never sent me the product that we paid for and refused to refund us the charge amount of $1,081.43 indicating that it was a special order and not refundable. We never signed any agreement indicating that this item would not be refundable. Last ETA we were given was 7/17/2024. Devco still has not provided us with the item we paid for. Extremely Shady Company!! No pro-active communication whatsoever!!! The only time they contact you back is in "reaction" - just to then give you another extended lead time. It seems as if they keep pushing this out so that they can have an easier time not being responsible to credit card disputes, as they usually have a limit of about 60 days. End result: I had to file a dispute with AMEX. thanks, CLH

    We are responding the letter from the BBB that was received 8/6/2024. Let me start by saying that the customer has been shipped and received the product that they ordered. Attached is a copy of the invoice with tracking and UPS proof of delivery. We are sorry for the delays with the order, but the customer knew from the beginning that the product ordered was not in stock and was special order from the overseas factory. Unfortunately, the product did take longer than expected to ship but at no point was the customer misinformed about this order. They were fully aware this was a special-order item and that it was not in stock. They also knew that they had been charged in advance for the product since it was a special order. We are in the industrial products field, and this is very customary to have delays in manufacturing. Each time the customer contacted us they were informed of the current status of the order. Unfortunately, the delays were not what they wanted to hear, and they tool actions of contacting the BBB and also disputed the charge with merchant services who processed the credit card transaction. We have also responded to the dispute with merchant services they ruled in our favor because the product was shipped and received by the customer. We would request that this complaint be dismissed and ruled in our favor as well. To conclude we are sorry that the product took so long for the customer to receive but they should not be contacting the BBB for this issue nor disputing charges when they in fact knew all along about the order and that it was going to take some time to receive. If anyone should have an issue at this point with this situation it is Devco Corporation. We are reputable company who has been in business for a long time and always try to put the customer first. We hope this information helps resolve the issues today. Please contact me back if any further questions or resolutions.
