  In September of 2022 I hired *********************** from Open Road Paving to redo my Driveway. He took half the money and never finished the project. He had one excuse after another. It rained, it's too cold, his machine broke down, he's waiting for the part. It's now June of 2023 and I still can't get him to complete it. It's one excuse after another. I contacted other paving companies and they all say the grading job has to be redone because it was so poorly done to begin with. He is still advertising in local newspapers and scamming people.

  We made a contract with *********************** from Open Road Paving LLC back on May 4, 2022 to remove and replace driveway, haul away debris, add stone base and pave with Top I Fire mix design for a total cost of $3,900. I gave him a check the same day for $1,700 for a down payment (I have picture of check which was cashed). He did not give me a copy of original contract but I did take a picture of it and the check. He also had me remove a tree I had at the end of my driveway, which required permits from ***************** and $2700 to have tree removed. I had that done ASAP, I think it was removed August 5 by a local tree removal company. He did not start the work till September 15, ( after multiple calls and texts) they removed driveway and then put stone down. Also gave him another check for $1,800 for (dumping and stone delivery). He said he would be back in a few weeks. In the meantime they left all their work trucks on my street until I finally called him on Oct 5 to ask when will he finish the job and remove the work trucks from my street. He told me he would come by that day or the next and he would finish my job in the next week or so. He came by the next day to remove the trucks but did not call me or do any work. Here we are November 18 2022 and still waiting on completion of job. It's been excuse after excuse, promise after promise. I have all the texts between us as well. I called him yesterday and now he says "I will get you done in the Spring, you are my first job. Weather is too cold now and still can't get my mix from the mill." So now winter is here and snow will definitely be coming and I have a stone driveway that I can not snowblower or shovel. I have three kids that need transportation to school and I am a nurse that is state mandated to report to work even in the worse of conditions. If I park in the street, I will have my car plowed in with mountains of snow. I don't know what else to do at this point. I am beyond frustrated and disgusted with this whole situation. I need the job finished or a refund so I can find another company to finish the job. Please help me!!!
