AMI recently completed two hand ***s on me in Wall. Both ***s were very painful due to severe arthritis that I have in both shoulders, and I told the techs this before the **** However, the techs said that I needed to lay flat on my stomach for the test with my arms outstretched in front of me, so I toughed the tests out for over an hour because I realized how important it was to have confirmation of the hand tendon rupture since I was planning to go through with surgery if the ***s confirmed the tendon rupture.HOWEVER, the AMI Radiologist wrote in the report that I did not have a ruptured tendon in my hand, even though my Hand Surgeon confirmed that it is, in fact, ruptured. After seeing the Radiologist's report, my Surgeon tried to reach the Radiologist, but he was only able to get hold of the *** tech (******), who blamed the inconsistencies in the Radiologist's report on me not having remained 'still' during the ***s. If my movement during the ***s was really an issue, then why did the Radiologist write their report with such conviction if the *** was not clear enough for the Radiologist to read? After the *** technician spoke with my hand surgeon, ****** at AMI reached out to me to schedule a partial re-do of the *** (at the request of their Radiologist). She said that I would need to go back to the *********** and get the *** retry done there. I reminded ****** of how painful it was the first time I endured the two ***s in late April, but ****** said there were no other alternatives. I reminded ****** that AMI has ************************************************************************************************ to lay on my back.It has been six days and I have left multiple messages for ******, but I have not received a return call from her or anyone else at AMI. So I STILL do not have *** / Radiologist confirmation on whether the tendon in my hand is, in fact, ruptured. I will NEVER schedule or endure another *** or any other testing with AMI again.
