We purchased a quartz countertop and backsplash from ************* on Route 23 in Butler **. It was installed in April 2023 and it was beautiful. By August it cracked. The crack started on the underside of a corner and it spread up to the top and is about 6 inches long. It was clearly a stress fracture. My wife called and was told the owner would call back. I never got a call. I then Emailed and the response I received basically said its not possible that it would just crack I must have put something hot or heavy on the countertop. The accusations were completely baseless and not even valid since he didnt even see it. He did say a repair would not make it look new but he did offer to send someone to fix it and said if i wasnt happy with the repair he would sell me a new slab at cost and give me a discount on installation. We responded that we would like to attempt to have it fixed but I did not put something hot or heavy on the counter. My wife asked for a copy of their warranty policy. His reply was a dissertation on how no one warranties this type of work( which is a lie) The email was extremely defensive and ended with. Please email me back that you accept and agree that by us helping you fill in the crack, it might help or make the matter worse, and we will not be held responsible for such help. We replied that he should disregard, Id find someone else to fix it. How could I possibly trust they wouldnt make it worse after that statement.
