    We purchased a newly built house from Arbor Developers, LLC (*****************) on 8/15/2019. About 2 years ago, the finished section of the basement (carpeted) was getting wet. I called **** and told him our basement was already leaking after a year and a half of owning the house. I asked how the basement could be leaking as there was supposed to be a French Drain installed during the 2019 construction, he indicated he "did not install a French Drain, but something superior". I will note the Spec Sheet we obtained from **** indicates, and I quote, "Foundation interior French Drain to be 3" perforated pipe, or equal, covered with clean gravel and drained to sump pit in the basement". This document is attached for your convenience and can use as evidence. The French Drain was never installed in my new house, and we continue to have a wet basement with every rain. I find this to be unacceptable, and I would like a French Drain installed by **** as it was supposed to be when the foundation was poured. I will add, the only pipe that drains into the sump pit is the oustide drain from the outside entrance to the basement. I would like a proper French Drain installed in my basement as the Spec Sheet calls for and what I believed was installed in my brand new house.

    The allegations listed in this complaint are absolutely false and slanderous. At no time did I ever tell ***************** that there was not a French Drain installed in his new home. There is in fact a French Drain installed in his new home.  In a conversation on or about September 8th, 2021 I explained to ******************* that the French Drain in his house was constructed using the ************ System. With this system no pipe protrude into the sump pit. I provided him with the name "************" so that he could look online for further information. Please see attached screen shot of my text communication to him. This system was inspected and approved by the Local Building Code Official.
