    In August of 2022 we hired Intact Contracting, Inc. to replace the roof of our house. We believed their quote was fair. The job was started and half of the old roof removed when ****, the owner, informed us he wanted an additional amount of 66% of the quoted amount to continue the work. We were stunned but had no choice since half of our roof was gone! The final work was a disaster. The roofers used nails that were much too long, resulting in the nails coming thru the ceiling in our attic and our summer porch. We pointed out the problem to **** and he said he could replace the damaged "new" roof on our porch that Intact had just installed, but we would have to pay for material and labor. We adamantly refused and eventually **** had a worker replace that roof with the proper material. Our attic still remains a danger zone with long nails protruding down thru the ceiling. When we asked **** when he would be removing the dumpster parked next to our front door, he replied by saying it wasn't his problem and we needed to call the number on the dumpster. Bottom line, we seriously advise anyone looking to replace or repair their roof to avoid Intact Contracting. Our experience with them was a nightmare and we hope no one else has to deal with these problems.
