Handyman sent to my apartment to install a new thermostat from PSE and G and install two new outlets. None of my electric call wires were faulty or broken. It was just a cosmetic work to be done. The company told me there was no service fee to send a technician out but that the technician would give me a quote after they saw what needed to be done. Once the technician arrived, the first thing I asked was for a quote. He immediately said, dont worry about it. Im here to help you will figure it out later. After we looked at the thermostat, he said he was not sure if he could do it. So before tackling the job, I can ask him. What is the quote going to be. He again reassured me. Dont worry lets get this done.. The handyman said he knew what he was doing with my thermostat although I asked him to see his electrical license and he did admit that he did not have one although he did continue to Work on my thermostat. I was concerned because I was missing AC wire, but he reassured me that he could get it a different way. When he was done, we checked it together and my vent was blowing out cold air. About 20 minutes after he left, I went back into my apartment and my thermostat reading it was 95. He had installed my thermostat incorrectly. I am not looking for a reimbursement or anything. I just do not think that this company should be legally allowed to operate..
