    Forrest makes good saw blades, but their customer service has gone to pot recently. I been buying and using their saw blades for over 30 years, and they have always been very good. Even after the recent price increases, they are still a good value. I have relied on their resharpening services also over the years but recently that end of their business has gone downhill. The resharpened blades use to be "almost as good" as the new ones but that isn't the case any longer. I recently sent in a blade for sharpening and repair. It has always been a few weeks turn around. But recently I sent in a blade and after not getting it back for 4 weeks, I called. I was told someone would call me back before the day was over. No one called. I called back after almost a week. This time the response was I would get a call back in less than 10 minutes. No one called. The next time I called the promise was a return call in the next 5 minutes. No one called. So I went to their web page and send in an email request. I never got a response (Note: They later claimed they sent a response but it never showed up in regular email or in spam/junk folders). I finally decided I no longer need their products or poor customer service so I told one of the owners to just keep the blade and I would find someone else's product and services to use. Their company is now being run by the family and NOT the original owner. But this experience tells me that there is a new way of treating customers. Once is a error, twice is a big issue but three or more request going unanswered is a pattern.There are two many companies out there that make good products. No need to stick with one that has lost their customer service focus.
