I came in for four new tires. They replaced the tires and I drove off. A few days later, my tire pressure sensor (TPMS) came on. I took my car back that day and they couldn't find a problem. They reset the system. The **** light came back on with five miles of driving. I immediately drove back. They still couldn't find a problem and reset the sensor again. The light came on again. At this time, I have spent two hours of my time trying to get their mistake fixed. Instead of relying on their incompetency, I immediately drove to a nearby ***** dealer. The technician notices that THEY PUT THE WRONG TIRE ON ONE OF MY BACK WHEELS. The difference in tire mass was throwing the sensor. I immediately drove to Midas and showed them the problem. They wordlessly took the car in back , found the correct tire and put it on my car (after a week of driving on the tires). Evidently, they had accidentally used one tire from a different set of four new tires. In addition, it turns out that they severely over inflated my tires (they inflated to 45 psi warmed up, recommended warm psi is 35). They tried to argue that this is normal. It is not. Hence, they FAILED to identify their own mistake and put me in dangerous driving conditions during the winter months. Thank goodness there wasn't any snow or ice on the road. Now I have to take my car to the ***** mechanic and pay them $200 to make sure that Midas didn't s**** anything else up. They offered me a free oil change...as if I EVER want to take my car back to them. If they can't do a tire change, I am definitely not trusting them to open up the hood to my engine. I refused the service and asked for a partial refund. They said no. Multiple calls to corporate also said that they couldn't provide a refund. So I asked if they would reimburse my bill from the ***** mechanic for the inspection. They also said no. Hence, they are performing incorrect service, failing to find their own mistakes, and costing customers more than the listed price.
