    Dear Sir/Madam, I am filing a complaint against Fairwood Kitchen & Bath Supply Inc. for unfair business practices, lack of pricing transparency, and refusal to resolve disputes fairly.
    My husband and I sought to purchase kitchen cabinets from Fairwood. We received an initial price quote and made a $4,000 payment to proceed with measurements. We were never informed of a non-refundable policy.
    Payment Details:
    Feb 25, 2025: $2,000 via *****
    Mar 3, 2025: $2,000 in cash (store offered a cash discount).
    Key Issues
    Lack of Pricing Transparency–The store refused to provide an itemized price breakdown, and staff gave inconsistent pricing information. A competing supplier offered significantly lower prices.
    Lack of Contract & Hidden Terms–We never received a contract or official receipt. Later, we found small, faint text at the bottom of price quotes stating a “no refund” policy, which was never disclosed verbally or signed.
    Refund Dispute–When we canceled our order, staff initially agreed to a refund minus a $100 measurement fee, then claimed the entire amount was non-refundable. They later demanded a $500 “compensation fee” for any refund.
    Unprofessional Conduct–Zoe falsely claimed the male staff member assisting us was “just a driver” to contradict the pricing and resolution he provided. Later, Zoe admitted he is her husband. Zoe was also dismissive and obstructed our attempts to contact the store owner, Jane. In our last call, we were told, “Our boss has no time for you!”
    Owner’s Response & Lack of Follow-Through – On Mar 11, 2025, after our demand letter, owner Jane offered a $3,700 refund after deducting a $300 “design and measurement fee,” which was never previously mentioned. She ignored concerns about pricing transparency and staff misconduct. No further responses were received.
    Requested Resolution
    Investigate Fairwood Kitchen & Bath Supply Inc. for potential consumer protection violations.
    Order a full refund of our $4,000 payment.
