On Sunday December 24, 2023 I went to my local Mobil 1 lube express located at *** **-* ****** **. I currently own a 2023 grand Cherokee L. This would was the second oil change I have done for said vehicle(life of vehicle) I have three free oil changes to use at my dealer but choose to take my vehicle to my local business which I have been going for 5 plus years. I had my suspicions from the first oil change that the employee did not change the oil filter. Is this a common practice??? On the aforementioned day I stood in the customer area looking through a window in direct line of sight of my vehicle hood are. With a clear and unobstructed view I watched as the employee who has been working there for several years began to fill the vehicle with the required motor oil. The oil filter on the aforementioned vehicle is located next to the oil filling spout. At no time did the employee changed the oil filter. After filling the required oil fill, the employee shuts the hood and drives my vehicle out from the garage working area. Shortly thereafter, the employee advises me the car is ready. I questioned him as to why he did not change the oil filter!!! The employee could not answer me. I asked to talk to a manager and he told me “the manager is unreachable!!” I told him get the owner , he stated “ he is unreachable”. I then advised him to go and change the oil filter!! Without hesitation he went and changed the oil filter to my vehicle outside the sally port!! After a heavy exchange of words o my part, I told him I would be back Tuesday December the 26 to talk to the owner of the establishment. It is my believe that this practice has been going on for a long time, and needs to stop. At the very least there should be a manager on site!!!!! I pay over 90 dollars for a synthetic oil change and they are not being fair by providing me with the goods and services I rightfully pay for. The employer was very deceiving and should not continue to work there.
