    VRC took over our archival storage in 2023 from our previous provider. Since that time, VRC has permanently lost a box, overcharged us for services, mislabeled boxes (which we had to pay to have called up and delivered to accurately label the contents) and inaccurately created our inventory list of boxes to include boxes that were permanently destroyed years ago. As a result, we requested that our be closed in April 2024. VRC stated the process would take 60 days. On June 10 (the end of the 60 day period), we were told that the final invoice would need to be created before they could release our boxes for delivery and that this would not happen until month's end. We would like to end our relationship with VRC and have our archival boxes delivered immediately.

    In September 2023, I was advised that the cost of storage of my documents would increase by over 100% from $79 to $180 per month. I requested to remove my documents from storage. I was advised that there was an access charge of $3.95/box and additionally $5.95/box to remove my documents permanently from storage. I have over 160 boxes of law firm documents in storage. VRC provided no explanation for a charge of $5.95/box to permanently remove my documents from storage. This amounts to almost a $1,000 charge for me to take custody of my property. This penalty of $1,000 amounts to coercion of me by VRC to continue storing my documents or pay ****** to remove them.

    On October 10, 2023, I received an invoice #*******EWR1 from VRC that now adds $20.00/month to my storage bill for "electronic storage".  I have no electronic storage with VRC.  The items that I have stored with them are exclusively, sensitive, paper, client documents.  It appears that VRC adds charges with no basis in fact for services that I neither requested nor contracted for.
