I am writing to formally file a complaint against Eagle Towing for what I believe to be an illegal tow of my vehicle on June 10, 2025.Incident Summary:On the morning of June 10, 2025, I discovered that my vehicle was no longer parked in the lot across the street from my residence. This lot is owned by a school and church, and my roommates and I have received verbal permission from the owners to park there during times when the lot is not in use (i.e., outside school/church operating hours), under the condition that vehicles be removed before those activities begin.Upon noticing my vehicle missing, I used a location tracker and discovered it had been towed to Eagle Towing at ***************************************. I walked to the location and asked the front desk employee who had authorized the tow. She vaguely stated, management, but when I asked which management or requested documentation, she claimed she did not ************** Impact:With no viable alternative to recover my vehicle, I was forced to pay a $190 cash fee. Additionally, I incurred a $3.50 ATM surcharge and spent $10 in transportation costs to reach the towing facility. In total, this illegal tow cost me $203.50.Justification:I assert that this towing was unlawful due to the following:1. Permission was granted by the property owners, and I have witnesses who can verify that we were explicitly allowed to park in that lot outside operating hours.2. Eagle Towing was unable to provide information on who authorized the tow, raising serious concerns about the legality and transparency of their operations.Resolution Requested:I am requesting an immediate full refund of $203.50, broken down as follows:* $190.00 Towing fee * $3.50 ATM surcharge * $10.00 Transportation to the towing location Please advise on the next steps or if any additional documentation is required. I am happy to provide witness statementsor affidavits verifying the permission we received from the property owners..

On 6/10/25 we were called out by the church to have to have a Nissan Sentra with a plate of L51-WMU (NJ) We were notified by management to remove the vehicle for being left  on the property. Ms Terrell claims she had permission to have her vehicle parked there. If she had permission Management would have never called us & if Management would have made a mistake they would have called requesting a courtesy for the release of her vehicle.

My car was picked up from The park at ******** the apartment complex i live at. I have a parking permit on the dashboard that allows me to park there. I went to eagle towing- which they also call themselves ******'s towing to get my car. I asked why my car was towed and the answer was the car was on fire lane there is no fire lane marked on where i parked- so i asked for proof. They avoid the question and then i asked for proof again because otherwise that would be theft of my vehicle. The owner/tow driver starts screaming at me and threatening me that they will throw me out and not give my car back. They intimated everyones car they towed that night and threatened them to pay $225 or not get their cars. This place is a predatory theft ring. The police in ********* are useless and uses this scam company to tow cars from crime scenes. After screaming at me and my wife- once they returned the car- the cat was fully scratched up on the back. This place needs to be shut down for public threats and intimidating money grab tactics.

Please be advised that we have a contract with the management to remove vehicles from the property. Management notifies us when to go on property and tow any abandoned vehicles, vehicles parked illegally on the property, vehicles without parking permits and any vehicle not parked in an appropriate parking spot.

The Charges for each vehicle towed are as follows:

    Tow:            100.00

    Mileage:        15.00

    Dollies:          35.00

    Labor:           50.00

    Storage:       25.00

In order to avoid any damages to any vehicles we will always use dolly wheels. It allows the vehicle to be lifted off ground and tow vehicle with out keys.

I am rejecting this response because:

The company towed 15 vehicles that night with parking permits. Which means every single vehicle pays $75 per month to park on that property. The contract with the property is to pick up vehicles when then call you. The property manager explicitly stated they didnt call you to pickup any vehicles. You also have to provide evidence to the vehicle owner that the car was parked illegally. If they are towing the vehicle legally- they should have some proof that they picked up vehicle legally, otherwise thats theft of property.  When asked for proof- the office attendant started screaming and threatening to not let us take our vehicle. This institution needs to be shut down due for scamming people and forcing people to pay $225 by holding their car hostage.

****** ***** store was closed so it had an open lot with parking in vicinity of Planet Fitness. I saw no visible signs that said no parking or tow away zone. But when I came outside the car was on the lift of the tow truck. The driver said unless I paid him $100 cash that he was going to take the car. I told him the only access to money I had was zelle. When calling the tow company they are saying that what they did was legal. And that to get the car now it will be $280 cash. Which I do not have and it will be $25 additional per day or I will lose my vehicle. Upon looking further I found a sign that was not visible from the angle of entering the parking lot that said it should have only been $20 since the vehicle was still in the lot.
