The Best stair company . We looked every where and this company is a one stop shop . My staircase is beautiful and was very affordable. Took my staircase apart and rebuilt it stronger and no squeaks. He also stained and painted my entire staircase. I highly recommend calling the stair doctor.

As a result of highly suspect business practices of The Stair Doctor that included, total neglect of his obligation to finish our project, disregard of safety issues that he created, his unprofessional manner, his careless attitude, his negligence to correct numerous deficiencies, along with keeping our deposits to his benefit, we were forced to file a Civil Action Complaint in Small Claims Court. The Court set a trial date, we presented our case to a judge, we submitted evidence supporting our claim of consumer fraud, among other things, and received a favorable verdict against The Stair Doctor for his highly unlawful actions. Reading other reviews, this type of neglect and non-responsive attitude by The Stair Doctor has happened before and our comments would severely discount any positive reviews. We also brought a complaint (claiming Breach of Contract and Consumer Fraud) regarding this contractor to the ********** **************************** and the Better Business Bureau of ** for their investigations. There is no better phrase to sum up this matter than buyer beware. This contractor collected up-front fees of 80% of the contract estimate prior to any efforts and then performed 20%, at most, of the work when he abruptly walked off the job and never returned. Many areas of the project were partially started, some areas very poorly performed and other areas totally ignored. After repeated phone calls, emails, and text messages over a three-week period regarding his whereabouts and the timing of the job, he responded that he was self-terminating the contract. He then went as far as trying to push a subcontractor on us. Our project was totally exposed, and we were left in the dark, stunned and needed to find a new contractor. Our only recourse in recovering any funds was to formally serve The Stair Doctor with a Demand Letter charging him with Breach of Contract and Consumer Fraud, among other things, and then follow through with the lawsuit.
