I have a two-year service contract with Tri-State Pump and Septic Supply LLC. The lid to a tank wasn't secured, allowing vegetation, rain water, and animals into the tank. I contacted the company in July of 2024 to request a service appointment to secure the lid properly. I was told that because I had a service contract, and was already scheduled for service in September, they weren't able to come any sooner. The maintenance service was completed in September, however they never secured the lid. After a dozen combined phone calls and emails requesting the lid be secured have been unanswered.

I am sharing my experiences as a last resort to unresolved issues with this company. I have been a customer with a yearly maintenance plan since 2016. Last year, when I received my maintenance bill it had increased by $100. I called and was told by the new owner, ***, that this was the first increase in 12 years. I shared that my issue was not with the increase but merely that customers were not made aware of the increase. Most recently, when work needed to be completed on the system, we were very communicative with the owner directly and other staff as the requests were based on a recent septic inspection. We even sent a copy of the inspection report so that there was no confusion. On the day the work was being done, I was contacted by a panicked staff member stating that the technicians were unaware of the scope of the job. We had several emails directly with the owner and additional phone conversations with other staff to confirm the work that was to be completed. As a result, we were billed nearly $1,000 over the estimated amount. I have contacted the owner once again to share my dissatisfaction and express my opinion that Tri-States business practices are underhanded; however, the owner, ***, disagrees. I have made him aware that I would be sharing my experiences online, and his response is, Thats your prerogative. I will never work with this company again, and I would caution you to avoid them as well. I am never opposed to paying a fair price for jobs that are completed or working with contractors who are honest and dependable. Tri-State is not on of those companies.
