My complaint is with VNAC Community Health Center Freehold, NJ On Dec. 15, 2023 I had a blood test at ******* in Freehold and paid the bill of $415.80. At my next doctor's visit in April 2024, I was told that I should not have been charged for the blood work. The medical coding was incorrect and they will contact ******* with the correct code so can get a refund. In the meantime there were many calls between me and VNAC and me and *******. In August 2024 Jenny from VNAC called me and said everything is straightened out and ******* will issue a refund but it will take some time. In December 2024 I contacted ******* and asked about my refund. I was told that they have record of speaking with VNAC in August but was never given a new medical code. ******* billing said that once they get the new code I CAN be refunded. When speaking to VNAC I was told that when being admitted for a blood test, a paper is signed stating I am responsible for any amount not covered by insurance. It seems to me that once VNAC heard this they didn’t bother to provide a code and just gave up. I have since filed a complaint with Eric at VNAC. I was told that Samantha R. will be working on this. I tried to call her but my messages were ignored.
In the meantime on August 30, 2024 I had to get another blood test. I was billed $533.40 and I did not pay it. When I spoke with VNAC I was told they would take care of it for the incorrect code was submitted for the second time. In December 2024 I received a call from Melissa saying she is working on my case. Today January 7, 2025 I called and left a message for Melissa. The receptionist told me to call *******.
My medication requires periodic blood tests. Today I received a ******* Collection Notice. I now must stop my medication for ******* will not service me.
