    I received a request without any other information pertaining to 2 traffic violations in ******* ***** asking for $421.55 for each. I called and asked for evidence, they sent the front page of 2 pdfs from 2022 claiming I had ignored the demands. I asked for more information associated with the arbitrary demand amount and this then miraculously dropped to $500 by the end of the week. I questioned this again and asked for evidence in the form of the official demand where it states a maximum amount could be charged, this then again dropped as per the legal maximum on the letter to $415 for both alleged offenses. I then sought to find a final solution offering, a settlement of 75% of the amount, based upon the fact I have never received any official documentation to allow me to appeal nor anything else I requested to determine the legitimacy of this. The business is now saying I wont pay, that is 100% inaccurate, I am trying to settle but they wont ever send evidence to support their position in terms of payment.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    No reason has been given for my offer being rejected and no evidence has been provided that the Municipality referenced as the client rejected the offer. 

    One line responses that never included any of the requested evidence the Municipality rejected any offers cannot be accepted as reasonable. 

    How can I be sure there is even a legitimate claim from the Municipality when no evidence is introduced outside of a pdf letter alleging an offence? A letter that I never even received. Nor proof it was never returned to the sender, as required by law. 

    It is not unreasonable to expect some evidence when 2 different arbitrary amounts have been requested without evidence being provided for them.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    The information offered was very basic with no real evidence being offered to answer legitimate requests for it, nor was there ever any evidence provided of the offer being declined by the client. The fact that an original demand was made for more than $840 which was then just dropped to $500 but with a time bound condition after some questions were posed and then again to $415 after it was pointed out that there was a legal precedent stated on the demand, does raise concerns about the legitimacy of this claim for payment. 

    There was and is a desire to settle this matter but there must be clear, fact and evidence based two way communication to get there.

    Kehoe has offered no pathway towards a reasonable resolution, to merely say it is closed with no guidance on next steps towards resolution is not at all helpful. 

    So my question would be: What are the next steps and how does this get resolved fairly and amicably?

    We have been repeatedly contacted by about a debt we owe to ********. I have clearly stated that we owe no debt to ********, ********s information is wrong, there were many issues with our account that were never addressed. ******** has filed for bankruptcy I do not have access to any of the accounts associated.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    The fact that they just say the same thing over and over again shows how this is just a shake down. I OWE NO DEBT TO ********. I do not have proof of payment, I do not have access to any accounts associated with ********. Show me where the the contract that I signed with ******** that I must retain proof of payment. I had no reason to believe I would need to show proof of payment at a later date. Its impossible to know where the incompetence ends and the criminal acts begin with ********. They are trying to intimidate me into making a payment I do not owe. All of this is just a continuation of my experience with ******** BEFORE the company went bankrupt because of incompetence and criminal activity. There was always issues with the accuracy of my account that I brought up to ******** time and time again with no corrective action on there part. There account information is wrong, That's not at all surprising to me given the issues with my account and the systemic issues with fraud at ******** in general. Its my word against theirs? I am a homeowner with impeccable credit and no criminal history, They are a bankrupt business with mountains of evidence of wrongdoing. This is harassment! I demand a written apology and a statement that they will cease and desist the pursuit of this erroneous debt. I wonder how many more are experiencing this harassment from ******** and Kehoe Financial Group?

    The Milan city hall they represent, never answer my email and
    didnt take the wire I sent though bank of america of $ 161 a long time ago


    Kehoe Financial Group is trying to rip me off because an
    original amount that I sent, was not received by the Milan city hall because
    their system didnt work, what is not my fault and they never answer my email asking for an alternative payment method. I have all the document proving I tried to pay several times.

    I will escalate this to the court so Kehoe Financial Group can come and
    explain why they didnt want to accept my offer of 350 to settle this

    I am demanding complete release from payment demanded by Kehoe Financial Group (Reference # ******, Protocol # ******; letter dated August 2, 2024) related to a traffic violation issued by the ************ ** ******

    On August 24, 2023 we received an email from our rental car company regarding a traffic violation allegedly committed on July 21 or July 22, 2023 while driving in the Milan area. The total fines were estimated at less than 100 euros, and there was a link for online payment. Neither the email, nor the ************ ** ***** online resources provided any evidence or other documentation supporting the claim against us. We spoke to a local lawyer in Italy, who in turn called the ***** ********* ******* The Police confirmed that we had only received an unofficial notice of a ticket that had not yet been issued. It would not be possible to pay the ticket until we were properly notified at our postal address. The Police further clarified that the notification period after which the ticket is void is 365 days. I have this saved in writing. I have received no further correspondence from the ***** ********* ******, nor our rental car company since. I did not receive a ticket within the 365 issuance period.

    In August 2024 we received a letter from the Kehoe Financial Group, which demands an arbitrary $291.84 to resolve a purported traffic issue. The letter does not contain the same reference numbers as our initial email from the rental car company, nor any other supporting documents or evidence whatsoever that would allow us to confirm the ticket or ascertain our rights. Further, the letter does not contain any indication that the ************ ** ***** had tried to contact us with an official ticket or other correspondence within the 365 day statute of limitations under law.

    Kehoe Financial Group is attempting to collect on a ticket that is void under local law. I demand full release, confirmed in writing by Kehoe Financial Group.

    I am rejecting this response because: it’s false. I have never received a ticket from the municipality (at all, let alone within the statutory limitation period under Italian law, as confirmed by the Italian police). Neither the Municipality nor Kehoe Financial Group have provided any supporting documentation proving otherwise. Without this, I had no way to pay the official ticket, and now I have no basis to assess the amount of the fines requested by Kehoe. The statute of limitations period has lapsed and you’re attempting to collect an arbitrary amount of money with no legal basis.

    We have received a "Settlement Offer" for an alleged unpaid fine for a traffic infringement in ***** dated 06/21/2018. The "Settlement Offer" letter is dated 07/10/2023. We have never received or seen a copy of the alleged traffic infringement. The only information provided by Kehoe follows: Re: Comune di Lucca, Reference # ******, Protocol # *****, Ticket Date: 06/21/2018, License Plate #************************************************* states that it is offering a "Settlement Offer" of $295.24 from an "amount due" of $468.64 with no evidence for any traffic infringement charge or charges the group has added on. There is no copy of the alleged traffic infringement and no evidence that the Comune di Lucca has engaged Kehoe as a Collection Agency.We have sent an email to the Comune di Lucca for verification of 1) the existence of a traffic infringement fine by the regional authorities and 2) verification that the Kehoe Group has been enjoined by said authorities in the matter.We would be happy to share the documentation of the Kehoe Financial Group's "Settlement Offer", but cannot at this time upload a copy. We could either fax a copy of send in it by US ************************************** ***************************

    I never received any ticket nor signed and acknowledged any ticket from Roma Capitale. This is clear fraud and an excuse to increase revenue by issuing tickets without the driver's knowledge of any wrongdoing at the time any alleged incident occurred. I have the right to know of any traffic violation that allegedly occurred on the date of the violation. I do not accept nor acknowledge any traffic violation that was mailed to me or sent to collections months after the alleged violation occurred. Again, I did not sign nor acknowledge any traffic violation on the date this ticket was issued to me. I was not stopped nor cited by any law enforcement officer nor was told that a violation occurred on that specific date. I will not be harassed by a foreign violation that clearly seems like a scam to take money from foreigners.

    Traffic tickets issued via a Camera are not a valid form of issuing traffic citations they are just means of increasing revenue within a municipality, and I do not acknowledge, nor will I ever pay a fine associated with a traffic ticket issued via a camera. This ticket is invalid because I DID NOT SIGN IT. MY SIGNATURE IS NOT ON THE TICKET ACKNOWLEDGING THAT A VIOLATION TOOK PLACE. You can fight and argue with me all you want. If you choose to continue this course of collecting on this debt, then I will be forced to take legal action against your collection's agency. You should read H.R. **** maybe you will get some insight on debt collections and the laws that will soon be passed. I will be filing a complaint against your collection agency with the Consumer ************************* and the ************* Attorney's office.

    My husband and I received a notice in the mail from Kehoe Financial Group on 8/12/2022 (which we received in the mail on 8/26/22) regarding a notification of traffic violation fine dated all the way back from August 14th, 2017 (over five years ago) from our trip in ***** in the amount of $167.69. There is a reference number, protocol number and license plate number listed in the letter, but the first red flag is that the total is in USD. If this was a traffic violation in *****, wouldn't it be in Euros? I want to ensure that this is not a scam - I have attempted to call the phone number listed for Kehoe Financial Group on the notice several times and it always goes to voicemail - no live human picks up, which is a second red flag to me. If we did have any sort of traffic violation, we would have received a notice from the car rental agency and would have immediately paid it. I don't know why we are receiving a bill over five years later for something that I cannot verify. I'd like to make sure that Kehoe Financial Group is not a scam, as there is another complaint here on BBB regarding exactly the same scenario (traffic violation fine in ***** over five years ago), so something seems fishy to me. They threaten to go to collections in the letter if the amount is not paid, but before I pay any money I need to ensure that this is a legitimate letter and can be verified by our rental car company (again, I have no way of figuring out which rental car company we used because it was over five years ago.)
