Seriously unimpressed.. I hired them to move an apartment from North Carolina to Columbus, OH. I sent them a spreadsheet listing every item to be moved. They jacked that up and I had to pay extra even though the items were on the original spreadsheet. The delivery window per the contract was 1-10 business days for 201-500 miles. This move was 428 miles per the contract. It took 28 days. I had to call and email multiple times. The furniture was finally delivered on June 30. On July 1, I get a call to schedule the delivery. They're terrible. You also have to pay the down payment with a credit card, the pick up with a check or cash and the delivery is only with cash or a Post Office money order. It would have been faster and probably cheaper to fly there, hire a Uhaul and some muscle to load the truck and drive it back my self. It definitely would have been less stress. They also subcontract your move. I was assigned to All Moving Relocation. Perhaps they were the issue.

I would never recommend this company. Worst experience ever. First of all the first person who sells you the gig is not around during the move. Second they tack on all these extra costs even after you’ve told the first person all your inventory. Second they’ll assure you your things will get there in time and no. I had to wait 2 weeks. My furniture was damaged, my office desk could bony be reassembled and I was missing a box. Oh by the way, I was told I would receive an email to file a claim and I’ve been waiting for that a month now. As for my missing his, the Kim said she would see if she could find it and reach back. I’m yet to hear from her. Again that was a month ago. Moving across States is very hard and they were not very helpful even though they said they would be there with you every step of the way. I would never use this Company again nor would I recommend them to anyone: happy to share pictures

      E*** ******,
Thank you for filing your review. After the estimator estimates and schedules the move, all further matters are routed through customer service. You did not provide all of the items that you shipped, during the estimation process. That is why your volume cost increased. You exhibited angst, due to having to wait two weeks for your goods to be delivered. The actual delivery window, according to the 1430-miles between your two zip codes, is up to 18-business days, so we delivered a week earlier than the window. Please review the delivery windows, according to mileage accrued below.
Delivery times are only approximations. Delivery dates are not guaranteed. See below.
      0-200 miles 1-3 business days.
      201-500 miles 1-10 business days.
      501-1000 miles 3-14 business days.
      1001-1700 miles 5-18 business days.
      1700-3000 miles 7-21 business days.
We are in the process of resolving your claim filing issue. Our associate who handles that process, will be reaching out to you soon. Thank you for your business, and have a wonderful day.

First National van Lines is a horrible unethical business. They literally extort you when you need them the most. They increased their quote by 100% and held our furniture hostage. They really should be investigated.

      B****,
Thank you for making us aware of your complaint. The only reason we ever increase shipping costs, is if additional items are added to the order. This was the case, here, i'm afraid. If you add inventory, the shipping costs will always increase. We don't hold any clients goods "hostage." The only reason we will not unload at the delivery point, is if payment in-full hasn't been made. We would like to have more information regarding the issues you have reported. Please email us a full draft of your complaint. We will investigate. Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

I would not recommend this moving company. We had a horrible experience!! A*****, the first person I spoke with did not emphasize that depending on the cubic square feet of space needed in the truck would determine how many movers they would assign. He informed me that he would send 4 movers. He also told me that they use steel partitions to separate family belongings in the moving truck since it's shared. Moving day arrives and 2 movers show up 10mins before the allotted time. There were no steel partitions in the truck. The movers had to unload the other things from the truck and placed them on the sidewalk. They placed some of our things on the driveway while they wrapped our furniture and mattresses. Our belongings sat in the 100 degree heat for over 6 hours. When our belongings were delivered, a chair was missing from our dining room table set. We had to ask where the chair was. They kept it in the truck hidden with the door closed to conceal the fact that it was broken. They also chipped the other chairs, damaged the walls to our new rental, broke our clothes drying rack and damaged the upholstery to our workout bench. In addition, they had unloaded our bed in a bag at another job site, which the driver admitted to. I texted and called for weeks until their customer service finally sent me a copy of documents needed to file a claim which we didn't receive for a month. I filed a claim and it stated that it would take them 120 days to complete, probably so we could forget about it. Seemingly enough time for everyone to forget that it ever happened. Avoid this company at all costs!!!

The company is great. They did a fantastic job wrapping and shrink wrapping my stuff. The only issue I had was a broken lamp but the insurance they offered paid for it. Overall great experience. Id recommend them.

Angie's list was the catalyst to me choosing First National, for our move to Atlanta. It was a great decision, I must say. Everyone we dealt with was professional and helpful. The customer service was impeccable. It took 7 days from pickup in New York, to delivery in Atlanta. That wasn't so bad. Everything throughout the service was just on par. If we ever move again, I know who to call. Thank you, First National.

Unkind and unreasonable. I was told my deposit on a move was refundable by the person (Brian) I booked with. He was nice enough, unfortunately he no longer works for the company and his word is not being honored. I have a family medical emergency and have to cancel my move. It even says on my receipt deposits are 100% refundable (per mgmt, which means it is totally doable) and the guy I talked to ( I forget his name) was completely indignant. He wouldn't let me speak to anyone else and was unapologetic.
I would not recommend this service to anyone.

Ms. B***, Ma'am, the company does not refund deposits. I pulled the recorded booking call that took place between you and the estimator, Brian, who is no longer with the company, and he did not tell you that your deposit was refundable. The contract states the opposite. It states that deposits are not refundable. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Thank you have a nice day. Should customer elect to cancel move with FIRST NATIONAL VAN LINES, written notification must be sent to [email protected]. After signing the FIRST NATIONAL VAN LINES agreement all sales are final. Any deposits/fees paid are nonrefundable. If the customer elects to change their move date (unless specified in the contract) they can be charged a date change fee if their move is no longer a convenient move for us in order to justify original discounted price*
