I recently interviewed with Theracorp in ********* and was shocked by the discriminatory treatment I experienced. The interviewer asked why I had taken family leave, and when I answered honestlythat I am Palestinian and left due to workplace insensitivity during the genocide in ***** was immediately shut down. She told me that my response made her uncomfortable and that they dont discuss politics here. This kind of response is completely unacceptable, especially from a company in the behavioral health field, where empathy and understanding should be core values. No job candidate should feel dismissed, judged, or silenced based on their identity or personal experiences.I want to warn future job seekers: if a company cannot respect diverse perspectives in an interview, how will they treat you as an employee? Theracorp needs to address bias in its hiring process, and I hope no one else has to experience what I did.Would not recommend this company to anyone who values inclusivity, fairness, or ethical hiring practices.

We appreciate all feedback and want to clarify the context of this situation. The individual in question was applying for a *********** Coordinator position, a role that involves direct interactions with clients. During the interview, she introduced political discourse by making several unprompted statements about genocide in ****. While personal beliefs are private, a job interview for a client-facing role is a professional setting where the focus should remain on skills, ethical considerations, and alignment with the practices values. The candidate explicitly stated that she could not separate her strong political stance from her professional interactions, raising serious concerns about impartiality and professionalism. Given that our practice serves a diverse client base, ensuring a neutral, supportive environment is essential. Her inability to maintain appropriate boundaries would risk alienating clients and causing harm, making her unsuitable for this or any mental health-related position. Our commitment remains to providing ethical, unbiased, and client-centered care. We encourage all prospective hires to uphold professional boundaries, as client care should be a space for support and healingnot personal political discourse.

I am writing to formally dispute the response from TheraCorp regarding my complaint. Their statement is false, misleading, and an attempt to cover up discrimination that occurred during my interview ********** clarify:1.I did not introduce any political discourse. The recruiter from TheraCorp directly asked me why I had taken family leave.I answered honestly, stating that I am Palestinian and took leave because my previous workplace became hostile and insensitive due to comments about the genocide in *****I did not bring up politics; I was simply responding to a question about my own employment history, as required in any job interview.2.TheraCorps response is an attempt to justify discrimination.Their claim that I could not separate political beliefs from professional interactions is completely false and defamatory. The recruiter was the one who initiated the discussion by asking about my family leaveyet when I answered truthfully, I was told my response made them uncomfortable and was shut down unfairly. If discussing my own lived experience as a Palestinian is considered unprofessional, then this is clear evidence of discrimination based on national origin and personal background.3.Their statement is defamatory and could impact my future job ************ falsely implying that I cannot maintain professionalism in a workplace setting, they are attempting to harm my ************** reality, I was the one subjected to an unfair hiring process and discriminatory treatment by their recruiter.I request that TheraCorps false response be reviewed and that my complaint remain active, as this is a serious case of employment discrimination that should not be dismissed. Please advise on the next steps in ensuring my complaint is properly addressed. I appreciate your time and attention to this matter.

We stand by our original responseeverything we stated is 100% true. While the applicant denies our concerns, her own statements confirm them. She brought up genocide in **** unprompted in a job interview for a client-facing role, where neutrality is key. Even if her other rebuttals cannot be 100% proven, just mentioning such a controversial topic proves otherwise. She also admits to a hostile work environment at her last job due to "genocide in ****". Her employer wasnt required to grant her leave under ***** or medical policies, so their reaction was likely justified and likely for the same reason we did not continue with the interview process. Those reading this complaint werent in the interview, but based on the applicants own words and admission, its clear she struggles with professional boundaries. At TheraCorp, we have long-term employees from various backgrounds, and we have no idea what their political beliefs arebecause thats how it should be. Just the mere fact that we are aware, by her own unprompted admission, that she views the situation as being "genocide" and is willing to openly share it, should be all one needs to know. Our focus is on unbiased, client-centered care, and we expect the same from anyone in our organization, especially those in a client-facing role.

I work a typical 9-5 job. Whenever I schedule appointments anywhere I schedule it after 5PM. I called to confirm my appointment was at 7 PM. Marked in my physical and digital calendar. I got a text saying I missed my 4:30 appointment and was responsible for paying $75. They made a mistake and tried to push the cost onto me. They said I should have checked on my patient portal. Funny how I got a text reminder that I MISSED an appointment, but no reminder for the appointment THEY CHANGED. I had to dispute the transaction because they refused to be held accountable.Loved my therapist, and will miss her. Hope she finds a better opportunity then working for this greedy corporation.

Although due to HIPPA regulations, we cannot confirm or deny whether this individual is a client, we would like to note that we have a very streamlined scheduling procedures that protects against mistakes as much as possible. Of course, we also realize that mistakes can happen and when they do, we take great strides to rectify them. If a resolution was not initiated, however, it is possible that the scheduled session was confirmed via text, email or another undeniably verifiable form. Clients also receive several appointment reminders days prior to their sessions to further promote accuracy and accountability. I would like to point out that in order to provide this absolutely needed service and remain accessible to clients, accepting all major insurances and offering in person sessions in an environment where this type of service is very difficult to come by, we do have procedures in place to ensure proper compensation for our clinicians, continued sustainability for our practice and the ability to serve the community at large. I am truly sorry if anyone has had a genuinely negative experience and would be happy to discuss it outside of a public platform if given the opportunity.

Absolutely the worst mental health practice out there. I saw a therapist for approximately 8 weeks, he moved and I was abandoned by the practice because they had no other ******** counselors. I made the mistake of seeking out there help a few months later with finding a new counselor. Saw a new counselor for just shy of 6 months. The owner of the practice ***************************** is a very hostile, ******, medically gaslighting individual. As a disabled individual she repeatedly made me feel like I was less then and would taunt me because of my disability. After many hostile corespondents I left the practice. ************************* then held my medical records hostile and threatened me again. I reported her for the treatment I received, her poor less than professional behavior and fraudulent activity I found in my ******** bills. Now months later ***************************** calls me from her personal cell phone and threatens me again. Now my local police are involved. ***************************** is not a mental health professional in anyway shape or form. Let alone a business professional. **** repeatedly demonstrates what unprofessional conduct is. Why would you call and threaten a mental health patient. I ???? pray you find a better counseling practice. As this is the worst of the worst!!

HIPPA laws prohibits us from disclosing information regarding clients and even non clients who make contact with us. Therefore, I cannot confirm or deny whether this person is a client or not, due to HIPPA regulations. However, I will say, in general, our practice will not report fraudulent information or confirm fraudulent claims for disability or any other entity because of threats to post negative reviews.
