My son enrolled in September at this daycare facility. From day 1, we have been getting constant complaints about his biting and we have been working with the daycare to resolve the biting. He is currently teething and it is common for a 2 year old to bite when teething. He is also an active child and his activity seems to be a problem for the daycare. They claim they will work with him to make sure he is successful and learns well but we have had 3 instances where staff including management lost complete control. One teacher yelled at him in front of me and lost her temper at a 2 year old child to the point where the manager told her to calm down and she continued to lose her temper claiming he has bitten "everyone totday and he is too much to handle." On Monday, 11/13/23, A director covering for the lack of teachers at the facility expressed her complaints to me in an unprofessional manner telling me he is biting and how everyone here (smart start) is frustrated that we are taking it as a joke with him at home when this is not true. On 11/13/23, this director also mentioned how he is too much to handle and how he is driving everyone crazy. On Tuesday, 11/14/23, the site manager lost her temper at my wife when she said she doesn't want the director as his teacher for the day. The manager said there is nothing she can do about it and yelled at my wife. In the end she put him in another class but 5 minutes later, my wife returned to the daycare and found our son inside of a crib while all the other children were playing outside. My wife has been in tears for 2 days about his treatment at the daycare.Everyone there is treating him as if he is an adult and can understand what to do vs what not to do. They daycare staff have expressed on more than one occasion that they are not willing or unable to handle my child. For this reason, I would like your help in exposing them and demand justice for my son and a refund of the 1250$ deposit.
