The town required that National Metering services replace the water meter at our residence. The tech came and replaced the meter while I was at work. Two weeks later, the town contacted me because they received an alert that we had a water leak. I called National back and they sent a tech to the house, who advised there was no leak at the meter. I then contacted the town water department, who came and assessed the situation and proved that there was a significantly leak. I didnt have the funds to pay for a plumber to dig up the yard and replace the line, so I did it by hand. Trenched the 42 from the house to the road and pulled a new line under the driveway. Replaced all the fittings, just to find that the leak was at the meter. The town water tech was at the site when the leak was discovered. The conclusion we all came to was that when National metering replaced the meter, they wrenched the water line and broke the connection from the meter to my house. I have attempted to contact National metering services for two weeks, and received no response. Im not expecting compensation for my time digging the trench but I would appreciate compensation for the supplies I had to purchase and grass seed to restore my yard. Very disappointed in their customer service!!!

This customer was reimbursed for the expenses incurred, even though the leak was not our responsibility.

    Better Business Bureau:

It took BBB getting involved to finally get the company to respond to me. The individual that the company sent out was arrogant and was not very professional. He reminded me of a used car salesman. I also didn't find it very becoming, when he left the house and stated that he was going to go talk to the town water department and "give them an earful for trying to pass unconfirmed blame on his company". The company did pay what I was asking, but I was not impressed at all with their customer service.

    Regards,
