    ***** installed a Weil McLain combi heater hot water unit in January 2024. He didnt calibrate it or register it with the company within 90 days for the warranty. I am now having issues getting heat b/c it was not properly installed. A pump is burning out b/c it is overworking to try to pump water throughout my house. It should have three external pumps & should have been split into two zones. GFI outlet not used. I am waiting for a written punch list from the new HVAC repair person. Repair & parts is going to cost me about $3K & this may not be a permanent solution so I may need a new system as well as other repair work. He was unable to repair the issue. He also stole a check from me & cashed it for $8900. I got this money back within a few days.

    The install was put in according to the specs in the manufacturers book. We also have numerous calls into well ****** when we first started up the system, and we ran diagnostics with them personally on the job for a full day. The heat has been working there for over a year with not one issue. This job was not done by me at L&F HVAC. I was a secondary contractor helping a plumber there, but this customer for some reason wants to blame me. It is not our responsibility to register the equipment within 90 days for the customer. Its the customers responsibility to register their equipment. This customer did not have a contract with L&F HVAC to do this job and I find it very disappointing that this customer wants to blame our company for a job thats not ours that we were associated with and helped on. This customer says that its gonna cost money to make these repairs, no its not because all she has to do is call the plumber back who did the job and the plumber will make the repairs for her and as far as a new system, that is completely unnecessary. The customer is going way out on the limb saying that because the unit is brand new and because one pump is bad that can be easily replaced, so as far as the unit being replaced is completely unnecessary.

    Choice Home Warranty assigned this business to our boiler issue. They arrived and said he had to order parts and would come back to do repair. After 3 weeks of not responding, they finally confirmed a 2nd appointment to make repair but never showed up. No responses to multiple calls or texts. Extremely unprofessional, unresponsive, and unreliable.

    We are very sorry that we were unable to answer your calls and get to you in a timely manner but the owner ************************* who is my husband was in a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, August 24 and is in the hospital with a broken leg, three broken ribs and a fractured orbital bone.. Again we do apologize for this inconvenience and we had notified Choice home warranty of this accident and they were supposed to reassign your claim yesterday Hopefully your repair can get done in a timely manner thanks

    I am rejecting this response because:

     

     I was on the phone with Choice Warranty several times yesterday and they did not say anything about a notification from you.  They also tried to contact the business on my behalf twice.   This is more than just a 1 day unresponsiveness; the business has been unresponsive for 3 weeks and many ****** and ******** reviews state the same exact experience.   This is not a new issue with customers not receiving the service that is agreed upon.
