    The quote was much less than the actual bill. 

    there was no communication. In addition the final check was attempted to be cashed as opposed to deposited

    I want to be clear, the complainant is not my customer or client, nor have I ever met him. The last I spoke with him we had a great conversation (about the additional work which was needed and ok'd by both the client and the complainant) and the situation was resolved as we did a beautiful job and went above and beyond to satisfy the client. I communicated with the complainant as his mother/step father was my client. The project was done in a wonderful and satisfactory manner as is all of my work. The only reason the original quote was less than the final bill was because plywood needed to be installed as is always a possibility (as explained at time of sale) when multiple layers of shingles are torn off an older home. I documented and forwarded pictures to my client. I am not sure if the complainant is aware, but the additional work that was needed was actually done at a discounted rate to satisfy the client. The clients were smiling and very happy when we finished, the job came out beautifully as we were paid in full. During my last conversation with the complainant, he was very kind and I thought we had a mutual understanding that the situation was resolved.
