    The Avenue was affected by a flood in the area where my party took place. The event took place on 5/17/025. The staff tried to work with me to find an alternate space. The event ultimately was held in the area where my party was initially contracted for. Unfortunately, several of my family members had to be moved away from the party (and the rest of the family) to alternate seating because the leaking continued during the party. This move was not discussed with me, or my husband. As well, some of the chairs were wet and damaged which caused my guests to be wet or to have damaged clothes. Subsequently, I found out that peeling paint fell a guest during the event.

    The food was good. I did notice that the table to the right of the fireplace got their food much later than the other tables for each course. In addition, I had to remind the staff only after the dessert was being served that the cake I provided needed to be served.

    No one came to me to settle the bill, instead went to my husband, who stayed at the bar with family/ friends for the entirety of the event. They were generous in comping him the bar bill and giving him a bottle of champagne, however, as mentioned above, I do not think that is adequate restitution for the condition of the room. My event took place over 3 weeks ago and after many attempts to reach out to different people, I am still waiting to hear back from Justin who I spoke to last Tuesday June 3rd, he said he would call me back with a day or two. I have yet to hear from him after calling him on two separate occasions and leaving messages.
