I and my group sent over $1,000 dollars worth of cards on consignment. Some of them have been sold, but not all. The sold items total $778.85. However, company has ceased all communication, has not paid anything, and has refused to acknowledge the unsold cards. **** has offered to help with support for a theft report to the police and ***, which will be forthcoming in the next few days. All I want is the money they owe me, and my 20 foil singles back. Included is a screenshot of the sales sheet dated April 16, 2024, sent by Probstein.Initial Complaint

On about October 9, 2023, I sent this company several lots of baseball cards for auction. This included lots of 1970, 1971 and 1980 baseball cards and a 1971 Football card lot. Actually I have not checked and am not positive of the years but I have coreespondence and I sent them reistered mail.so I can verify receipt. Before I sent them they agreed they could and would sell them. So far they have done nothing. I have emailed them 6 times, asking for the staus. At this point I would like my cands returned at their expense. They should also pay for my original shipping to them, since they failed to do what they agreed to do. They have held the cards and I have missed the Christmas selling season. I have cocumentaion of my claim. I have bought and sold with them in the past. Thank You, *** ***********Initial Complaint

Company pulled a bait and switch on me via ***** I won items via bid and was charged TRIPLE the cost of shipping that it actually costs. In their description they say the shipping costs will be determined by what you buy. well I was charged 50 cents per additional item and 1 dollar for the larger items. I had 8 dollars shipping at one point for 9 items. last night I purchased 3 additional items and my shipping was changed to *************************************************************************************** what their explanation is for 3 items that are not even 1 ounce each changing the shipping costs to 18 dollar from 8 dollars (and probably 5-6 dollars actual cost to themselves) they clearly leave their description of the shipping costs as vague as possible in the hopes of tricking people who wont notice the huge increase or are too busy to complain. if you need any more proof as to this companies unscrupulous business behavior. go read their **** feedback. or just look on your own BBB website. these are truly the lowest of the low people that are trying to run a scam and pocket extra money via padding shipping costs and not disclosing anything beforehand. please for the love of god, start a class action lawsuit against these guys. I will gladly testify at my own expense. they need a serious wake up call as to how people should be treatedInitial Complaint

I would send cards here for auction and the business decided rather than auctioning the items per usual, they would list them as 'buy it now' for not even close to the market value. I did not authorize them to sell the cards as a buy it now format, as they never have done that. I lost significant money by them choosing to do this. After reviewing this business on BBB, Yelp and asking the card community about them I realized this business in fact has a bad reputation. I have emailed, called, text, messaged on Instagram but they have not responded.I want all my cards (sold and not) returned to me ASAP. If they have shipped the cards (Shai, ********************************** I want fair market value credited to me and sent a check for that amount. Preferably I want my cards back as they are not doing what we agreed too. In short, the business did not oblige by the standard procedure of auctioning the cards on ***** They choose to sell the cards all at the same price of $35 each which lost me money. I sent the cards for auction, not to be stolen from.Initial Complaint

In early August I spoke with a close friend to ask where to consign my collection. He suggested Probstein 123.On August 15th I texted **** to discuss consigning my cards. My first text was Hello, I have a collection easily over 100k and would like to consign with you guys but would like to speak with someone first. The voicemail is apparently full on this number. **** responded **************************************************************************** Thx.I sent a whole slew of pictures confirming what was sent and we had a call about the process. Many were ungraded but about 40 were slabbed. I also sent multiple packs and have pics and inventory of everything, and I even sent texted all pics of all cards and packs to ****. ********* then sold 30 of my cheapest slabbed cards. My friend who recommended Probstein has a link to all his cards sold and unsold. He suggested I ask to do the same. I did so repeatedly and was ignored and finally they asked me for $55 to ship them. I was a bit thrown and confused but didn't argue and just wanted my cards back,I received my cards in a horribly packaged box where everything was scattered all over the place and rack packs folded etc. but most importantly all my high value slabbed cards were not returned!!!!!; a card that was listed sold on my behalf (a ***** rookie PSA 8) was actually a 9 so Probstein sold the wrong card and attributed it to me and didn't sell my better one; the ungraded cards were damaged as was a sealed wax box that was ripped open; and a ******** **** Topps wax pack is missing and the other was opened!!! And the opened cards were sent unprotected. ********* then offered me a 1/3 of the value, while ignoring the other issues. This company is worse than bad it's criminal. The authorities have been called. And that's just the tip of the iceberg abbreviated version.Initial Complaint

Over the course of 4 months I have sent over 500 trading cards to Probstein123 for consignment through their **** store. The first time I sent cards to sell they were excellent - they sent me an excel sheet of ever item they received, direct link to the listing, prompt payouts, etc. I never had that experience again for any of the following 8 packages even though they were much higher value items. The founder, ***************************, refused to send me a spreadsheet of what cards they received from me and would blatantly ignore me whenever I'd ask if any of my cards were currently listed or what my expectations should be regarding when they would be listed. The few cards they did list did not follow any of the instructions I provided in the package (as **** instructed me to do). I requested pictures of the front & back of the cards and gave them the listing titles for EVERY SINGLE CARD I sent and they constantly listed with a single low quality picture and an inaccurate listing title with no description. When I would find these mistakes I would reach out to Probstein and inform him of the inaccuracies and what needed changed. These were also widely ignored, and the few responses I received were multiple days later when listings had ended with "Unfortunately it's too late to change now.."I finally convinced him to send my cards back and they were aggressively packed into ONE box (22lbs of cards!) with no regard to keeping the card quality intact. After comparing my spreadsheet of what was sent and what I received back there were MANY cards missing including a "2021-22 Panini Crown Royale ********************* Kaboom RC #**" (recent sales on **** $1000+). When I attempted to inform Probstein of the missing cards I was ignored multiple times. I cannot even get the insurance coverage I purchased when originally sending the card because Probstein refused the numerous requests to verify the contents of my package.I will be reporting Probstein123 to **** and will purse legal remedy.
