    Safe Ship has zero customer service principles. - Once scheduled, they do not answer calls or return them. - They schedule the move with non-vetted smaller businesses. - We found trying to get information about picking up and dropping off to be impossible to obtain. - They dont keep the schedule that they make (they rescheduled our move despite interfering with our closing.They are flat out an unethical middle man. They provide zero value to the process and only inflate the cost. They dont staff to meet the demand and therefore you cant get a call back. At one point I called over a dozen times without a response.

    Safe ship quoted ** $5000 to move a 3/2 townhouse to *********, ** from *************, **. They started with a higher quote, but kept calling ** with a lower and lower quote each time. On the moving day, a different company showed up and said the quote went up to $11,000. Basically they gave us a quote that we could afford, just to get us to agree to use them, and then when we didnt have any other choice, they gouged the price. A bait and switch. We called safe ship and the guy that gave us the quote said that should not have happened because we had already gone through a QA process. I was transferred to customer service and they basically told me it was too bad. According to their yelp reviews, this is a normal practice for them. We went with them because they catered to veterans (which I am), and they were the lowest bid out of 3 companies. The other companies actually sent reps to our house and looked at what we had in order to provide an accurate quote. One was $7500 and the other was $6800. Well below $11,000!!! We believe we were scammed and definitely wouldve went with the other movers had we known this would happen. The company has very poor customer service and are taking advantage of people. We are asking for them to honor their $5000 quote and take the money we have already paid and deliver our items free of charge.
