I own a 2016 MDX which I purchased from Acura Elite in ***********, **********. I purchased a 2016 MDX in May 2019. Within a few months of having that car I always complained of it driving differently and a consistently jerking I would experience. I had trouble with a malfunction trunk that came down on my son when trying to put something in the car. This was taken care of by the dealership. When I would mention the way the car drives, the technicians would text the vehicle but couldn't find anything major wrong. In July 2024 I was told that the car would need a transmission change and about 7 other things to run properly. This was after I had brought it in over and over for issues with the driving and acceleration. I left my car to be serviced and the transmission was changed twice. Twice because a mistake was made with the first installation. I get my car back in August sometime and I drove the car for two weeks and abruptly on i95 I started to review error messaging and the car went into neutral on its own, started blinking different messages rapidly and beeping. I had it towed to the dealership. The dealership is now looking into what has happened and cannot figure it out. I received my car the second time in October and drove for about 3 weeks, and it broke down again on Route 1 in DE and I was in the *********** when the car repeated the same signal errors. I had the car towed once again. This time they guessed that it was the fuel pump, Acura changed that and covered some of the cost. I drove my car after this was finished for 4 weeks and the car cut off again, with the same error signals but this time I have had a loaner car since December and just received an update April 24th from a new service person because the one that was on my car assignment left the company. I was told that I can pick the car up, they haven't found anything wrong and the Alternator may possibly go. How do you keep guessing and no management has been involved?Business Response

Subject: complaint number ********Hi ****
Nice to speak with you today. I am responding to complaint number ******** *************************. We have helped her get through a lot of different issues with her car through all the years she owned it. On May 1st, of this year we traded her out of the car that she has had issues with and sold her a new one. She is a good customer, and we took great care of her. She was more upset with the product than our dealership, We sold her a new car and we did a more than fair number on the trade in value.
She s very happy with us and the salesperson. She will continue to buy and service cars from our dealership.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you so much for your help.
Sorry we did not see this complaint until late last week. I have sent an email to get the information sent to me instead of the former GM.
Thank you again and kind regards,
Pat

On 5-28-24, I purchased a vehicle from elite Acura located in ***********, **. The vehicle is a 2013 ***** ls460. As of this date I have not received my DC state tags and registration. I have been issued updated temporary tags by this dealership each month since I purchased the vehicle. I have spoken to the sales person who sold me the car resulting in no solution. I have called the sales manager and left messages with no response. Its been over 120 days since I purchased the car and I still have not received my tags/registration. This has been frustrating. I'm not able to enjoy my vehicle to the fullest with this matter pending. Please assist me in rectifying this matter.Business Response

I purchased a 2014 certified Acura MDX from Elite Acura on 11/28/23 and paid cash $12,580.90. With the transaction, it was recommended for me to pay the sales tax and registration fees to the DC DMV due to the turn around time it would take the dealership to complete the title work. So I decided once I receive the title from Elite, I would pay the sales tax and registration fees at my local DMV in DC to obtain my permanent license plates. As of today, 2/20/24 I have not received the title. The salesman has been very nice and I am currently on my 3rd temporary tag that will expire on 2/24/24. The salesman is unable to provide a clear answer as to what the issue is with the title and recommended for me to call him on Thursday 2/22/24 to request another tag if I have not received the title. After purchasing this suv it has been challenging and time consuming dealing with this dealership. The suv was certified by Elite Acura but I had taken it to another Acura dealership in Virginia because of concerns I had with this vehicle. The dealership in Virginia identified it needing front struts, control arms, a gel pack for the wipers and a 4 wheel alignment. It was recommended by the other Acura dealership in Virginia to return to Elite for them to complete work. I enlisted the assistance of Acura ****** Services and Elite asked me to return the suv to them and they will replace the control arms, gel pack for the wipers and a 4 wheel alignment. And they would provide me a tank of gas for my inconvenience since I live 2 hours away- one way. Elite made the repairs and gave me a tank of gas. At this point, I want the title to the vehicle or a full refund.Business Response

I purchased a car from Elite Acura in Mar of 2023. At the close of sale, the company owed me 118 dollars, and I was told it would be mailed. It is now May 31 and I have emailed my sales person 4 times, each time being reassured "the check is in the mail." I am seeking the amount of money I am owed.Business Response

I purchased a vehicle from elite Acura on April 7th, for which I paid cash. Everything seemingly went smooth and the salesperson I dealt with was great. While in finance, I was not provided all of the documentation needed to properly register my vehicle, and this went unnoticed by me and my spouse. The title then came in the mail and I went to the *** to register the vehicle, on the 26th of April. This was the one day of the week the *** stays open later to accommodate people who work longer hours. While at the ***, after being made aware of the dealerships mistake, I made a call to the dealership to try and quickly resolve this gross oversight. After being connected with an assistant, who told me she just spoke with the general manager, I asked to speak to with him about the urgency of the issue. I was left on hold for a long period of time, so I decided to call again. I spoke with a different assistant who offered to transfer me, I was once again left on hold. I hung up to call again and my calls went ignored. I called 18 times during normal business hours and was ignored. Every. Single. TimeIf this problem continues to go unresolved, I will be assessed an additional fee of $1100 to register this new vehicle. I am at the mercy of this dealership and its substandard business practice and will continue to hound them for my required paperwork.Business Response
