    We tried to contact Spectrum Energy in *********** ** in order to increase the amount of solar panels for my newly purchased hybrid vehicle. We been a customer since 2016. When we called the number it was no longer available. Checked online and found out they closed. We didn't get any information about them going out of business nor did I receive any information who to follow up with for the solar. We signed a contract and have a warranty.

    In 2016, I had a solar system installed by Spectrum Energy. The terms of the sale included lifetime maintenance and service of the system. I recently have been receiving e-mails about the need to replace the router used to communicate the amount of energy generated to the "system". I have also noticed that certain solar panels were under-performing, so wanted to call them to ask about the need to replace the router and to come out to check if the panels were malfunctioning (which they have done in the past). Efforts to contact them by phone were unsuccessful. I determined the line has been disconnected. Their website is also no longer accessible. Using ****** Maps, I looked at the street view to see if the business was still there. Sure enough, as of a May 2022 street view, there is another business in the building. I contacted the business whose name I could see on the window - they had no knowledge of the previous tenants. After contacting the ******************** Clerk, I was informed that they are in violation of not submitting their business license renewal for 2022. All of this leads me to believe they have gone out of business.I never received a notice or communication from Spectrum Energy, and therefore am now left with solar panels on my roof and a system that will be serviced by no one. Given the fact the system, which I spent thousands to install, is now in need of maintenance, and possibly might stop communicating energy generated without a new router, I need to know what recourse, if any, I have. Thank you.

    Purchased a home 12/2020. This home is equipped with solar panels that were installed by Spectrum for the previous homeowner. Since buying this home we have been told by the panel manufacturers we have panels and other things not functioning properly which are causing issues in the energy we are generating. We have contacted Spectrum NUMEROUS times through phone calls and emails and have been ignored. We have reached out to other solar installers to see if they could help and no one is willing to touch the system since they did not install it. We are well within our warranty and Spectrum refuses to fix the issue.
