  If I could give this company zero stars, I would. They practice deceptive advertising when selling you a home. The clubhouse and other facilities in the Hatteras Hills development have been delayed by one entire year. Now the residents are being told that the clubhouse may not open until 2025 is because the furniture is back ordered - ridiculous! Additionally, they use cheap materials and fixtures in their new homes. The workmanship is substandard. Apparently, supervision of subcontractors is lacking. I have had to put in multiple service requests to have issues corrected - from the air conditioner not being hooked up, to faulty smoke/Co2 alarms, to leaky connections on the sump pump - you name it. The paint is now peeling off the foundation after owning it for 4 1/2 months. I do not recommend them if you are shopping for a new home!

  A horrible experience. Bad quality is one thing. We drove 6 hours from previous home to new K. Hov. home--Four Seasons of Lake of Cane Bay-- for closing (1/31/23). House was dirty, and outside wall was "dirty" all around. Was told by the contractor "No problem, it will be clean when you come back from the lawyer's office." Moved in 3/20/23. Outside wall was still "dirty". Contractor then said, "Oh, that is not the dirt. It is kind of stain which would not be washed off. So it will need to be repainted." Months after, we still could not get the problem solved after several follow-ups. Finally, some one came and assess the problem. They said "touch up" won't work. Have to repaint all. Great. There are 4 sides of wall, every side of wall has the unwastable stains. 12/28/23, the painters came and only painted 3 sides of wall, and left east site untouched. Another back and forth communications, we were told , "just report to warranty again, and we will paint it." Another person gets involved. This is the response we got. "The state standards require us to only paint over areas of need, but prior to close we provided signed documents that do advise of color variations being a possibility when repairs are made on homes. "
  The stains on the wall is an "area of need" even before the house was closed. We were stupid and trusted the company would keep their words. And now, this wall is . ......

  K ********, is horrible. I have had problems with drywall finishes, painting, electrical, plumbing and countertops. there is absolutely no supervision over what the contractors do in the homes. They leave completed homes open at night with all of the lights on, front doors open, and the place fills up with bugs. I even saw a large pregnant cat walk in to the house across the street from me because they keep the *************** 24 hours a day. Their service department is responsive but the work never gets completed due to poor communication between subcontractors and service personnel. The total lack of supervision and dealing with subpar contractors trying to get them to come back out and repair their mess is just ridiculous! Its very apparent that each of the subcontractors has a crew of skilled people to come back and fix, everything that the non-experienced subs put in. I would never recommend ********** Homes as a builder to anyone.
