I had a bad experience with the owner ************************* of Rapid General Contractor and Home Repair, LLC license number ************ to upgrade my condo. He was going to remove old lights and replace them with new recessed lighting in the kitchen, dining room, living room and hallway by going over old popcorn ceiling with 3/8 sheet rock with tape and spackling. He required that I give him over 50 percent of the money that he charged me so he can buy materials and pay his workers. He didn't finish that project. In the middle of the ceiling project, he started removing kitchen cabinets, the kitchen sink and installing new tile on the kitchen floor without tightening the floor boards for the squeaky noise. That project also not completed. Then he tried to install the kitchen cabinets but started hanging them wrong. Needless to say that project also not completed . ***** said that he's been doing home improvement for 11 yrs and said that the project will take only 4 weeks. I'm under the impression that he and his crew will be working everyday until the job is complete but it wasn't that. They started out with installing the recessed lighting that took 2 days, then the electrician finished their job and that's when the nightmare began. He started coming only on weekends, mind you that I had to put stuff on the balcony, in the hallway and in my bedroom for him to finish the work. It's 7 weeks and nothing is completed. I realized he didn't care about the job he was doing so I decided to relieve him from this job and move on. I had to pay more money out of pocket for the kitchen cabinets also. He deceived me and lied to me. He's a shyster. I believe he never had any intention of finishing the job. So for people who think about hiring contractors for upgrade, please make sure they show you some pictures of their work and not just by word of mouth because there's shysters out there like ***** waiting to pounce on senior citizens or anyone because they only want your money.
