The unbelievable allegations of this complaint is astounding. In brief, the *** was contacted by myself personally. The *** informed me that the building inspector is completely wrong and that the pictures indicated that I was correct as to the installation of a railing. This is to the point that the city attorney had a meeting with me and we have exchanged several emails over the behavior of the building inspector. The client is fully aware of this and was in complete agreement to allow this to play out as the situation was explained to her in great detail. It is unbelievable to me that I open this email to find a complaint of this nature. Frankly, after this, the last thing I want to do at this point is help resolve any issue with this corrupt building inspector. All this customer had to do was call me and state that she no longer wants to allow things to play out and I would have gone over to her home and taken care of the 15 minute correction that this corrupt building inspector is requiring. The fact that this customer has experienced the same treatment from this building inspector and is now turning on the person/company who did an A+ job on her home is mind blowing. Simply Unbelievable!

I am rejecting this response because:  First of all, The contractor DID do a great job on my home.   But did not complete it.   No matter if he agrees or disagrees with the inspector - The inspector WILL NOT  pass inspection as complete on my home.    I have been dealing with the contractor since August 2024 to complete the job.   He continues to say that he will come and make the corrections to the railing,  but then NEVER SHOWS UP.    I have countless text messages from him.    The last one was dated Sat, January 11, 2023 at 6:42 PM stating:  'Sorry, I tried to make it there today by the everybody was late with their appointments so it screwed up my entire day.  I'll be there in the next few days".  (quote unquote) He didn't show up nor did I hear from him again, and this is now the end of March.      So if he disagrees with the inspector,  then why was he willing to fix it?     This is ridiculous - the amount of excuses is astounding.     His statement that he would've showed up to complete the 15 minute correction if ONLY I had contacted him - is crazy.    How many times am I supposed to contact him - and have him never show up?    The contractor once again is blaming someone else.    Yet, when he built the railing, his statement to me was 'this will not pass code, as the building inspector is an __hole.'      I am caught between the building inspector and the contractor.     This is my home!!   I paid IN FULL (even before the project had passed final inspection - MY fault, but the contractor did except and it cashed it.)     I just want my home to be complete - pass the final inspection.   Nothing more.   I have had to file this because I am NOT getting results after Months of dealing with the contractor.     PROJECT FAILED!! Please, Just fix it!!!!      Thank you,

The item that was stated as "this will not pass code" was absolutely fixed as the rail was NOT continuous. That issue was delt with almost immediately. So, now the customer is pretending to not understand what actually took place. This is insane. Frankly, the lack of acknowledgment in regard to totality of everything that transpired with the inspector is astounding and the fact that the customer is not admitting that she would let this play out as I was dealing with the town's attorney who wants to remove the inspector from his position is remarkable. Yes, I did say that I would go and make one minor adjustment so that the inspector wouldn't have a leg to stand on and in fact, I have not made it there as personal issues consumed my life and this was not any issue of importance in regard to the quality of work that was preformed nor was it any sort of safety issue. Again, all this customer had to do was message me to remind me of the issue and I would have taken the 15 minutes to fix her situation even though there was an understanding of what was going on with the town's attorney. Instead the client has driven a wedge by putting this minor situation on this platform. Unbelievable!

    Complaint: 23075290

I am rejecting this response because:

I recently filed a complaint with a contractor that will not complete a recent job that he did on my home.   He finished August of 2023 - but the building inspector will not pass it until he makes the corrections.     My complaint was recently dismissed because the contractor said that it was.   He never showed up to make the final corrections,  but now says that he did.   And that ALL I had to do was contact him to remind him.    I, the customer, have REMINDED him so many times he says hes coming out on said day but then never shows up.

I do not understand how this can be solved in the eyes of the BBB.   The job is NOT complete if it doesnt pass code.  The contractor and inspector are at odds with each other and I am caught in the middle.

The contractor in his final reply made accusations against ME now, saying that Im unbelievable ,   that Im pretending not to know, etc.   These are indeed assumptions on his part.     I paid the contractor for his services, paid in full, but the job in my eyes are not complete if I cant get a building inspector to pass it.     I am not understanding how this is ok???

Please help in this matter??   All Im asking is that the company complete the job so that it will pass code.     He says it is not of urgency.but if someone were to fall and get hurt, and ***.the job never passed inspection,  the company would be responsible.    I do not understand,  other than the fact that ****, the owner of the company FIGHTS with everyone.   I  unfortunately learned that AFTER I hired him last spring of 2023,  He fights with everyone, saying that everyone else is wrong - HE IS NOT.    Other jobs, The town of which he lives, ************ meetings, the building inspector --a real keyboard Rambo on social media  I just want the $50K that I invested with this company TO BE COMPLETE.   THATS ALL.    I AM NOT SUEINGI just wish for the company to return to my home, the job, and make it right as he promised to do so so many times.     His excuse now is life has been challenging. (Really?   Flying to ******** to get married and completing his own home?  Challenging??). .  Just another excuse when indeed he forgets.    He forgets - I call - he says, h*** be over the next day - he never shows.     How many times should I except this??   Until I have to file some kind of action just to get him to do what he promises.

Please help?   As this matter IS NOT SOLVED

I've made myself quite clear in my previous responses. I will no longer entertain such nonsense. The client has done her absolute best to drive a wedge to any sort of reasonable response or reply that I would have been happy to have given. Your wanted corrections, are not a requirement of the *** which I explained to you. You would have had my assistance had you had not continue to rant on this platform. As previously stated all you had to do was text or call and I would have happily given you a time which I would have made it to your place. You stating all of your other opinions and nonsense about issues you know absolutely NOTHING about is not only childish but extremely immature. Your welcome to hire any competent person to make whatever changes you'd like to your railing and I will gladly pay them $150,00 for 15 minutes of unrequired work simply to wash my hand of your ridiclous and insulting behavior. Making a mountain out of a mole hill is about as ***** as you can get especially when you were made aware of everything that was going on with the town and the **** Lastly is this. do you enjoy working in 18 and 20 degree weather or the snow or the rain? Well, I don't either and your issue was simply to make you happy and not at all a requirement as per the ***. The only thing that was not correct, in the beginning, was the non continuous railing which was immediately fixed. It's funny how the same exact railing which I have built over 50 times in the last 5 years all passed with multiple building inspectors. Again, all you had to do was call or text. Now, if you would like me to come and ADJUST your railing, then remove all of your negitive comments from this platform and contact me via text and I will give you a date when I can make it. Weather permitting.
