    I would not recommend FIRM1040 to anyone seeking to file their tax returns. I worked with the owner ****** back in November to file tax returns after my husband passed away. Our first session was fine and she began processing the returns. However, she kept my documents to finalize the paperwork, which is normal. However, it is now almost March and I do not have my paperwork back because she left the country for 2 months (even though it is now almost 4 months since I left them with her). It is very unprofessional to leave the country without making the necessary arrangements to have my very important paperwork provided back to me.In addition, on one occasion she arranged her daughter to meet me at her office to provide me with my documents but when I showed up no one was there. ****** was also late to two phone meetings that I had with her. Now she has supposedly sent my documents by overnight mail a few days ago, but still has not returned them to me. This is alarming behavior. I would not recommend that anyone work with them. I literally lost my husband and now have to deal with this delay, unprofessionalism, and lack of consideration. In addition, she is a rude communicator. This should be a straightforward service or at the very least a service that provides some reassurance, but I would not trust this company with my work again. After going through this, I will have to triple check my paperwork and filings because the lack of consideration makes me concerned about the efficacy of their work.
