    When we called to file a claim to get a broken pipe fixed we were told we had to wait a month from the 1st day of service in order to file any claims so we called back a month later to file it. Then the only contractors wouldn't be able to come for another month (the leak is still going on and our water bill was outrageous). We told them we couldn't wait another month so they sent out another crew the following day. Once everything was done they tell us our claim was denied and we had to pay everything out of pocket. Every time we call they change their reasoning for why we were denied.

    I cancelled this insurance last winter because of a neighbor who also had the same repair plan. When he tried to file a claim for a collapsed main drain they denied it. Based on their actions I cancelled the policy a year ago, but still received a recurring charge on my Amex. I called their customer service (which is terrible) and was told that I should receive a refund. I plan on disputing the charge directly with Amex due to American Water Resources' (AWR's) predatory business practices.

    Never buy this insurance! They never have a company in your area to fix the water line breaks

    This company is a complete rip off. I filed a claim for a water leak. It took them 3 days to inform me they do not have a contractor in the area. I paid for the repair myself and filed reimbursement form. Their server would not accept the emailed forms. They have the worst customer service. I still have not heard from them about my refund. I have canceled the service. If you give your hard earned money to these guys, watch out for sure.

    I think this company takes advantage of its customers. I purchased 5 plans from this company and for ten months I didn't need the services, when I did need the air conditioning service, I was told that they didn't have a contractor in my area which was Shreveport, La. they told me to hire a contractor to do the work and pay them then send the paperwork in for a refund. I did everything that I was supposed to do, but the company never paid for my claim. After 30 days without hearing from them I canceled all five of my plans with them. After calling back about seven times to speak with a supervisor I was told that they see my claim, but since I cancelled my service with them that they cannot pay me because I don't have an active account with them. This whole situation seems to be some kind of scam. Don't I repeat Don't do business with this company because they don't honor their word or their warranty?
