If I could give this dental office 0 stars I would. My 13 year old daughter had to get 2 baby teeth removed that were not falling out. The dental assistant *** come out to the waiting room and called her name and told me that I had to wait in the waiting room while they did the extraction. I said absolutely not shes a child and is scared. She proceeded to get nasty with me and tell me theres no room for you to stand in there with her. The dentist then came out acting rushed probably because they made our appointment at 5 pm. He then also tells me I cant go in the room but I could stand in the doorway. Without even explaining to her what he was about to do he sticks her with the needle to numb her. A warning would have been nice if you ask me. The dental assistant *** stood there with a nasty look on her face and didnt say a word to my daughter the whole time. Barely suctioned her mouth while the extraction was being done. After the tooth was pulled I asked the dentist if he could give me a note for no school tomorrow as she was very swollen and in pain from the last extraction 2 days ago and he told me no he would not be doing that. Very strange but okay? I did end up having a word with the dental assistant who told me that children are better off without their parents in the room with them during a procedure. Can you believe she is a mom!? She has a 9 year old she told me. My daughter told me afterwards that she wished I could have been in the room with her. This is not a simple procedure! Its traumatic for an adult, let alone a child. We will be collecting our records and going elsewhere. With this though I must say, *****, the dental hygienist at this practice is amazing and am very sad that we will not be seeing her anymore. As a nurse working in the medical field, a little compassion goes a long way.
