I was seen in the ** at the ********************************** Center in **********, Nj. They are now ***. Upon arriving I began to vomit violently. I was told I had gallstones, and I would need a procedure and a special kind of MRI so they could see exactly where the stone(s) were. I was told I needed to be transferred to their sister hospital at Jersey shore located in *******, **. I arrived at Jersey Shore approximately 11:24pm, after being in ********** from approximately 11am-12pm. When I arrived at Jersey Shore no procedure was done, no provider came to check on me and tell me the designated treatment plan for me. I was put in my room and given medication. The nurse came in to give me meds and said I would have my MRI at 9:30am. I asked if i could eat something because I vomited *************** stomach at the other hospital. I was told no, my stomach needed to be empty for the **** The next morning, which was 8/24, They rescheduled my MRI because someone went in, so they say. the provider still had not come to check on me or make rounds with me. I then told the nurse approximately 10:15am I wanted to sign out AMA. The nurse, her supervisor kept paging the provider who they had to call his supervisor. He said he would come in 15 min. which became an hour later smelling like cigarettes. In November we received a bill from the hospital and a week later a bill for a **** ******** showed up. We have never received any mail for this person before, and today 11/29 another medical bill is coming for this person which leads me to believe my private information has been compromised at this facility. I have gone to hospitals and never received someone else's bill around the same time I received mine. This is unacceptable and leads me to believe my PHI, and or Personal information has been compromised.

The billing office had placed the wrong code on my bill and therefore stated that I owed $17,004.00. I called them to resolve the issue as my insurance covers childbirth 100% and they said that I would need to call my insurance company. After many back and forths my insurance company, Aetna, let me be aware that they used the wrong billing code. I called again and asked the billing office to change the code and then ASKED ME what the code should be. I do not work at a hospital, I do not work in billing, how would I know what the code would be? Also, the billing office should be speaking to ***** directly, I should not be the middle man. After much back and forth I was told my issue was resolved. Now A WHOLE YEAR LATER, I am receiving a note from a debt collector stating that I owe -$17,004.00. I do not owe this money, and it is beyond shameful that this hospital hires such incompetent people that they are sending people's bills THAT HAVE BEEN PAID to collections a full year later.
