We DO NOT recommend ******************************* of C&G Builders ************** ** or a new company. ****** was hired in 2018 because our new home needed a basement upgrade. As first time home owners, ******************************* positioned himself as a nice, family guy, fair priced, general contractor. Lies. This was a con that we found out many months later was a huge costly mistake! After many errors, issues, miscomm, ambiguous hard to read contracts (after work went wrong), and his worthless 3 year warranty, we had to stop the multiple unfinished projects he so strategically interwoven that we foolishly paid for. Despite telling him we stopped due to ongoing water and his issues civilly, he quit on us without resolving work that he originally said he would finalize for us! There are a dozen big/small important unfinished tasks on paid projects that still exist including a faulty french drain, breaking my heating vent when they did ceiling work. We pleaded with him in January four times via email to finish the work, compensate for work that wasn't ever done but he refused to resolve this like a professional, like a *****. We barely started a basement renovation in Feb 2018 but found a leak in basement. He positioned himself to fix it all and water-proof to salvage the home during a series of events for our family. However, we found later that he grossly over charged us for low quality wood framing, unfinished rough electric, and a cracking french drain that wasn't along the perimeter of foundation, Mishaps with bad water proof piping and ongoing leals, a driveway that still has a 35 foot cracking and more. We had 3rd parties analyze his work and told us most were faulty and we were over charged! All phases of basement, kitchen, **************** proofing were problematic! *********** ruled ******************************* owes our family. ******************************* cgbuildersofnj dot com jcolangelo at cgnj.builders
