company replaced an RPZ valve on 11/27/2024 . They had to take the defective valve and the Bypass valve apart , so they could replace the defective valve. After they replaced the defective valve, We started noticing a water leak coming from Both the Bypass valve and the newly installed valve. We notified them on the same day, so they could send a technician to repair or replace the defective part Their response was that because it’s the night before Thanksgiving, we will have to charge you $1000 extra, so we suggest waiting until after Thanksgiving and we will send someone during business hours to look at the leaking valves. They sent out a technician on 12/03/2024 who
installed a drain to collect the water leak from the newly installed valve but failed to fix /stop the continuous leak from Both Valves. They mentioned that the
leak will stop once the pressure equalize, and based on the pressure gauge they installed, the pressure has been the same since day one with no fluctuations. Both valves are still leaking until today
Chad ( Manager ) called on the phone, advised to shut off the water leading to the bypass
valve, so we can at least prevent the leaking water from one valve for now while the other
valve has a drain underneath, so the basement stays dry until they get fixed. on 12/05/24 was that Aimee, the scheduling person, will reach out to schedule an appointment for a tech to come again and fix the issues, and since then we have not gotten any response from the company for anyone to come over and fix the issue, so we notified them that no one has reached out to us, and we got no response. Now, I am stuck with two leaking valves, closed valves leading to the bypass valves that puts the house on a high fire risk in case something happens because of the failed valves. I got a quote from a different company to fix leaking valves, they gave us a quote of $ 2,343.62 just to fix the issues caused by the Newark Fire Sprinkler company.
