Relo Vanlines took possession of our household effects and personal property and items including prescription medications and life and health support items on 7 November 2024 for our move from *********** ** to ******** **, to be delivered 13 November 2024. For over 2 weeks they have refused to answer the phone when we or their broker, New Start Relocation, ************* FL try to find out what is going on. For over 2 weeks we have not been able to take a shower, sleep in a bed, take our medications, cook, clean, it is in the teens and they have our winter clothes, our cats are suffering in the cold because our heated cat houses are in their possession. Our original contact was with New Start Relocation, ************* ** who we were lead to believe was the moving company, but later found out they are only brokers who sent Relo Vanlines to load up our stuff. Our original quote from *** to move belongings from a 2-bedroom house on a 26' truck from *********** ** to ******** ** was $3,000, then $2,400, then $1893.75. There were items we were forced to abandon because *** accepted them into inventory but Relo refused to take. They sent an 1800cf truck already loaded with 200cf of another customer's stuff and claim they loaded ****** of our stuff. We had to leave items behind and suffer a loss. We only found out that Relo was not *** after they arrived and demanded we pay one-half in advance, $3,700.00. We had already paid NSR $2,810.75 ($810.75 deposit for the reservation and another $2,000.00 when we were giving them our inventory list). We have already paid $6,510.75 on an $1893.75 quote. When they demand the next $3,700.00, our cost will be $10,210.00 for what they said would cost us $1893.75. They demanded we pay the first $3700.00 with personal check or credit card. We wrote them a check for $3700 on 7 November. Now they sent us a notice that before they unload, we will need to pay the balance owed (they do not specify what that amount will be) with cash or certif

I used to moving company as a means to get my household goods picked up for a military move and I requested full and empty weigh tickets from the movers so that I can be reimbursed by the military. *** called numerous times since 18 Aug 2024 to request these tickets and I was told last week that I would receive the tickets on 2 Sep 2024, I never heard from them then so I called again three times today and Im getting no response.
