    My car was towed and I was charged 475 dollars to retrieve my vehicle and they only had it for a few hours and my vehicle sustained damages. I think that price was very excessive compared to other companies and need to be investigated immediately.

    Dente brothers towing company towed my vehicle from the rear of the building on 02/01/2024. The warning sign that the company has posted gives a price. However, I was advised that the cost of the would exceed 400$. The posted sign warns that the price of the tow service would be 225$ plus 40$ a day for storage. It also says that if a go-**** is used, that would cost an additional 65$. On 02/02/2024, I went to retrieve my vehicle and was given a completely different price that again exceeded $450 with no explanation as to why I am being charged a price that is different from whats posted. When I asked for an itemized receipt, the company refused. So, I still dont have any explanation of the additional charges. I was putting in a position where I was forced to pay a price that conflicted with what was posted because if I did not, I could not retrieve my vehicle. This company using fear tactics to over charge customers for service. Not only was I forced to pay higher price for the tow service, I was also threatened with the additional $40 per day for storage if I did not pay the unknown charges. Again, even though I was confused about the conflicting price, I was forced to pay it or Id accrue additional charges. I feel like this is false advertisement because if the consequences are posted per the company, how is the same company able to charge a completely different price without any explanation? Ive attached a copy of the receipt that I was given and Ive also attached a picture of the warning sign that is posted by the tow company.I believe this company added fraudulent charges and forced me to pay them in order to get my vehicle. I was given no other options.
