    I booked SMRK Auto Transport for $1300 to get my sons suv to his college in *********. I was told that was the price and no changes would be made. I was skeptical because I read a lot about transport companies wanting more money when they show up. My sons vehicle was to be picked up on a Friday and delivered Wednesday for $1300. Friday rolls around and I get a call that he doesnt have a driver but will tomorrow. We are already across the country taking my son on a special trip on his way to the college. My daughter is home to give keys to driver. When someone finally shows up I get a call that the price has now changed to $2000. The vehicle has all my sons stuff for college in it. I call **** who gives me some excuse about DOT raising prices. Take it or leave it. I have no choice at this point but to tell him to take it. Luckily the vehicle safely makes it to ********* from ********** even though its a day early and we arent there yet. We had to have him leave car unlocked with keys inside. I was so upset at the whole process and the bait and switch technique that was used on us. So sad.

    I called SMRK to transfer my car from ******** to *********. The agreed price was $300 and I would have it in two days. I received a call back two days later saying the original truck could not pick up my vehicle. He said he could line up another truck for two day shipping for $1,000 or one day shipping $1,500. He refused to return my down payment. He keeps calling and saying its a fair price but comparison to other companies I can get it shipped for $400.

    Back in January 8th 2024. I had my car schedule to ship out from Las Vegas, NV to Streamwood, IL. But that morning truck driver contacted me in morning that his car broke down. and I was told they can't find driver within same day or the next day. ( I was working with diff company back then) and i was approached by text massage this guy name Allen from SMRKautoship saying he can do it for $450 and can find driver within today or tomorrow. ( I was schedule to fly out to Chicago the next day so I left first company to work with SMRKAUTOship. Signed contract made downpayment $150 by zelle. ) So since i had to fly out to chicago next day. i gave my car and car key to my brother. and shared all the information between Allen and my brother *****. all the sudden last mins, can't do it for $450. it's gonna be $900. so I asked if you can't do it for $450 give my $150 refund back. which SMRKAUTOship refused and saying there is no way they can find at that price no more. due to weather condition brah brah. ( I was already in Chicago with No car Jan 10th) when i arrived chicago first day, yes it snowed over 12 inches highest temp was 0degree coldest -13degree. I spoke to their manager number of times. so best price they got it for me was $800 by this time I really needed car so. we all agreed on $800. since i already made $150 , $650 COD to truck driver who is drop off my car. Car was finally picked up Jan 13th and few days past. due to horrible weather condition, it was delay delaid delaid it was original schedule delivery date was Jan 15th by the way. it ended up arriving on the 17th 7:30pm. and driver was asking $900 and refused to let go my car. try to call Allen but since we are in diff time zone, his company was closed. so i paid driver $900 and got my car and called Allen the next day to deal with it. they can best they can do is issue me $100 voucher.

The attached contract explicitly outlines that the quoted price is an estimate, subject to change based on market dynamics and on top the customer acknowledged / signed this and consented to dispatch, demonstrating awareness of the terms. 

    We remain committed to resolving the matter with fairness and transparency as we value our customers.  We've engaged in open communication with the customer, providing a $50 voucher and a $50 refund as a resolution and waiting for the customer's feedback.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    these guys are bad for businesses. they are not even real business. they are just brokers sitting in comfortable chairs and taking people's hard working money such as truck drivers and real companies who actually have office and employees to run. i have no problem paying for my service who picked up my car and drove 1000s miles away with weather conditions they had to deal with. Vs have fake company who has access to information because they have some connections. know the system and scam people for $$. If BBB can't help to see the real truth. I have to take it to D.O.T. I made it very clear with them. since i made $150 deposit, all i had to pay driver upon getting my car was difference $650. which was very far from what i signed up for originally $450 which i confront him that i will sign up with you, if you can find truck with that price for today or tomorrow. again. lie after lie.i offered them after those 2 days, since you didn't find it. refund my $150 which they refused to do so. and we all know what has happend. I want to take justice on these scam artists.
