    A friend recommended Javier (who I believe is the owner) to me. Javier came to my mother's residents and took a look at the car. On November 25, 2023 Javier had my car towed to *** ******** St. Javier told me that he will rebuild my transmission for $4000.00 and that it will take a week to do so. All he asked for at the time was to leave a down payment of $2,000. Which I did. The $2,000 was Cash App to his wife "***** ****". I trusted my friend so this wasn't a problem. Today is February 4, 2024 and I still don't have my car. I've been reaching out to Javier about my car. His main excuse was that the torque converter wasn't delivered yet. My friend even tried to get in contacted with Javier. On January 10, 2024, I received a text from my friend saying that Javier would have my car ready by that weekend. I did not hear from Javier that weekend. On January 15, 2024 I visited the shop located at *** ******** St. My car was just up on the lift with another car under it. Javier wasn't there and his workers did not speak any English. One of his workers reached out to Javier and relayed a message to me. Javier didn't try to talk to me then, nor did he try to reach out to me after. The worker had to use Google Translation. I'm reaching out to the BBB because I want my car back and my money back.
