    I hope all is well. I attended a ballroom party on Saturday, 12/14 in Starlight Dance Center, * **** *** ******* ** ****** I called on 12/6 when I purchased the tickets and was misinformed of the agenda/program of the evening.

    There were a lot of performances/showcases throughout the evening on 12/14. When I called on 12/6, I was informed that only few performances from 8:00pm-8:15pm, however, during the party, there were several performances and barely any dancing. I hired my dance teacher for this party and was misinformed of the agenda for the evening.

    I contacted the studio manager and informed of this, what I wrote here. I was not helped and not provided refund due to the inconvenience and false advertising.

    Please assist with obtaining refund due to inconvenience and the fair thing to do as I was misinformed and this was false advertising. This event/party was in NJ and I reside in NYC; 12 miles away, $89 Uber ride to the venue and $60 ride back to NYC.

    I am responding to the complaint of Mrs. ********* ***** dated December 23, 2024.
    My name is Katharina G*******, I am the owner of Starlight Dance Center,
    which is located in Nutley NJ and has been in operation for 22 years.
    Starlight was holding it's twice annual Student showcase night that included dinner and general dancing as well.
    Our Student showcases are performed in 3 acts and in between the acts is general dancing for all our guests.

    Our evening was organized as follow:
    General daning:                7 - 8 pm
    Act 1:                              8 - 8:20 pm
    General Dancing & Dinner: 8:20 - 9:20 pm
    Act 2:                               9:20 - 9:45 pm
    General Dancing:              9:45 - 10:30 pm
    Act 3:                               10:30 - 11:00 pm
    General Dancing:                11:00 - midnight (advertised is to 11:30 but we always go over for General dancing)    

    A total of 3 hours and 45 minutes of General Dancing was available for all our guests.       
    Mrs. ******* dance teacher/host left the studio at 10 pm when there were still 75 minutes of General Daning offered.

    We had a fantastic night and all 260 guests were excited and happy about the evening.  Teachers and students (as she and her teacher are) know that student showcases always run in that format. In fact Starlight is organizing the evening in such a way that we offer more General Daning than any other studio in our industry.

    Somehow **** ***** did not enjoy her evening and even though of course she enjoyed a catered Buffet dinner,  and her teacher left early, I will be happy to refund her
    $ 93.60. - Please see attached the eceipt for refund to **** ***** credit card ending in xxx*****
