    I had work done on my boat's motor by Pleasure Bay, starting on August 8, 2024. I was originally quoted $6,200 for a full rebuild, and they told me the repairs would take approximately two weeks. However, the work was not completed until Oct 3, 2024—well beyond the promised timeframe.

    When I received the final bill, it was $8,500, significantly higher than the original quote. I was never informed of any additional costs before they billed me. Despite raising concerns, I ultimately paid the amount.

    Then, in October, Pleasure Bay removed my boat without authorization, winterized it without my consent, and charged me $1,917 for this unauthorized service. I told them that if they didn’t remove the charges, I would dispute the cost with my credit card company.

    My boat remained at their marina for winter storage. However, when I took my boat out, I noticed the motor was overheating—the same motor they rebuilt. I contacted the marina and spoke to the person who worked on my boat. During the conversation, I was insulted and called a moron. I informed him that I intended to file a formal complaint, but he refused to honor his work.
