For over a year we have rented a Budget 26ft box truck to use for our business. We rent on a weekly basis, sometimes 2 trucks a week. For the past several months, it's been difficult to get a truck at the location we've been renting from (10 mins from our house) and we've had to drive 1 1/2 hours to get a truck. The location in our city has plenty of 26ft trucks but they all need oil changes, some a few minor repairs. I've been trying to reach someone at corporate that might be able to help with this problem without success (all I get is transferred from person to person who can't help me). I was told on May 27, they would escalate my concern and someone would call me back in 48 hours. It is now May 30 and no call back. I also left a message on May 28th in the morning for the CEO and someone returned my call saying they work in the car rental department but would pass on my name and number and someone would call me back that morning. My husband stopped by the local office today to see if any trucks were ready and they are not. He was told that when they put in an order it takes 2-3 weeks to get an oil change (one person let it slip that sometimes they are told there is no money to get the trucks serviced - it seems it's cheaper to change the oil in one than to have it sitting on the lot not being rented) I'm really writing this complaint because I just want to get a straight answer on the issue and if I need to go Penske or Enterprise, I will but Budget has been a great company to do business with until recently.I literally spent 2 days trying to reach someone that could help (mainly because we got a truck from another location and upon arriving back in town the truck wouldn't start. We waited all evening for an answer on a replacement and was finally told they would have one towed to us the next day. Which never happened and we had to leave at 7pm to driver 90 mins to get one that did work.Business Response

Had a prepaid reservation for May *****, 2025 into ********************* from **************. The flight was delayed. I called Budget and they said the reservation was good for the next day pick up.I arrive the morning of May 13th 8:30am approx. It took 20 minutes for a shuttle to pick us up at the airport. 5 shuttles came and went for the competitor car rental. I get in line. I ask the woman if I could have a car with a Michigan license plate. I pick up my car from the spot she assigns me. My car does not have a license plate as requested, but the car right next to my rental does. She did not care to honor my request. I told the woman at the counter I would need an additional day because of the delay getting here. She said I would have to call the 1800 number. The next day I call the 1800 number and they say they can't help me that it must be taken care of at the counter. I was on the phone for ************************************************** when I complained. The second ***** filed my complaint. The second ***** elevated the complaint and I received a message from a ****** ****, to call back. When I call back the number he gave me, nobody is available to talk to me. And I was told nobody can call me back. My return flight is cancelled Friday so I have to fly out Saturday. I return the rental car Saturday 2:40pm. There is nobody there to receive the rental returns. Myself and several others leave our cars as the signs indicate with the keys in the car or in a drop box. I go to the shuttle where I am waiting again for 20 minutes for a return to the airport. Several competitor shuttles come and go as we wait. I get in and start receiving calls Monday and Tuesday that the car was not returned...four days after it was returned. I call and spend another 48 minutes on the phone with four different people to let them know that the car was returned and my complaint again of the poor service.Business Response

I almost had a serious accident on the expressway. The car needs maintence really bad. If you switch lanes the wheel gets stuck. The car sounds as if it needs a transmition.Business Response

Good afternoon,This is to inform of near fatal accident that occurred while leaving ****** heading home to ******* on Saturday evening, 5/10/2025.I (Driver), my father (passenger left) and mother (passenger front) were in a 2025 midsize ***** SUV rented from Budget rental in ********While traveling along interstate at interstate speed limit towards ******* after 15 minutes of leaving family from graduation celebration in ****** area a notification chime was heard from vehicle and thought to myself what is that all about. I continue to drive for about another 10 minutes or less when without warning vehicle began to lose control. I began steering to control vehicle all while pressing aggressively on brakes to avoid multiple vehicles from impacting us in a severe way. I contacted Budget customer care on 5/12/2025 at ****** to share incident from 5/10/2025 in which agent took notes of statement and provided case number ******** and stated a supervisor would be in contact in 3 hours. To date a Budget supervisor has not reached out to me on this matter.Business Response

May 4th, 2025 I rented a vehicle with Budget Rental. I had a loss in the family and spoke with multiple people. About receiving a discount. I got one person, to agree to reduce but when the supervisor got on the line they told me they were lying and upped the charge so high.
