On March 6, 2025, I hired Opulent Surfaces to install 13 interior doors for my bathroom, hallway, and bedroom. Before agreeing to this project, we asked how long it would take. Ras, the installer, advised 4 to 5 days, including painting, with a full team to assist. During the first two days beginning 3/6/25, there was a full team of four, but by day 3, there was no longer a team, just one person, who was Ras. He never advised us that his team had COVID-19 until 3/14/25, after we constantly complained that it was taking too long for him to complete the job. This was the worst case of installation of interior doors I have ever seen. The doors were half haphazardly put up (See pictures). The installation was never completed, and neither was the painting. There was paint dripping all over my doors, floors, and all over my new hinges. We asked them to use drip cloths, but as you can see in the photos, that wasnt done. This company did less than 50% of the job, and I must pay a new installer to come in and redo and complete the work that this installer did. I wouldnt advise anyone to use this company for the installation of interior doors because theyre incapable of doing the job professionally. After trying to work with this company by giving them additional days, the installer, Ras, was unable to complete the job within a reasonable time. After 13 days of trying to get the work done by the deadline, I fired Ras since he was unable to complete the job efficiently. The installer, **, kept asking for more days, but by day 13, when he wasnt even 50% complete, I could no longer accommodate him. After all, it would have taken at least an additional 10 days because he had to go back to redo the work he had done. Ultimately, it was done unprofessionally. The original contract was paid, unable to connect with Opulent Surfaces after three attempts, the last attempt on 4/24/25 to review work. I have pictures of work done by Opulent Surfaces.
