Sadly I ordered a Garret stage 1 turbo website showed in stock. Placed my order only to next day get an email stating We apologize. Unfortunately, we ran out of stock of this model in house. In checking with our Garret distributors to possibly drop ship for you, the supply cost on these has unexpectedly gone up. New list price for this would be $2279, $2051.10 (with SIX0BROS code)Let me know if you would like to have this drop-shipped with the additional supply cost or cancel the order. They then offered to send me a remainfactured unit for the list price that I paid for a new turbo. I called and spoke with **** who when I explained I worked in sales and when we messed up and priced something incorrectly we ate it and made it right. Wonder how many other times they have said or done the same thing to customers who reluctantly went ahead and paid the extra there hitting them up for after the fact or selling rebuilt items for what they list retail items for. I would strongly recommend going with any other business for a turbo as there wasnt even an offer of hey we will just drop ship it at our cost to you. They messed up and were still looking to make money. Very shady business practices in my opinion. Hope this review helps someone avoid having to deal with this company.

Hey *******. It is very unfortunate that you perceived this situation in this manner. This review could have instead been written, I placed an order overnight for a turbo. *** contacted me that morning via email as well as spoke to me on the phone. They apologized and explained that there was an error on their site with stock and pricing of the product in relation to the distributor. They informed me that they do not sell this product much and the distributor had raised their supply cost exponentially without notice beyond the current retail price. Due to the error in the supply chain, TTP offered me a full refund, or updated price that would still include a discount, or an alternative model. I opted for the refund which was promptly processed after our conversation. It was disappointing, but TTP swiftly took action resolving the issue. - We certainly understand the frustration when an order does not go as planned. Sometimes errors are made with supply, listing details etc. Especially as a small business, we cannot simply give away products at a loss. After speaking with you and providing an immediate refund, the matter was considered respectfully resolved. It is disheartening that tactics displayed here are being used to disparage our small business with false perceptions of our practices or conduct. As much as businesses are expected to operate fairly with a standard of conduct, customers also have a responsibility to not abuse their consumer power with unfair targeted reviews.

I would highly NOT recommend buying from this company. I will say while my turbo did work great for almost two years it did fail under warranty. After sending it back to them they concluded the same things as other reviews I've read. Foreign debris or dirty air filter seems to be there get out of jail-free card. Now I do understand that there are customers who have and will abuse the warranty system, but they cut me off before I could explain to them that I myself have 14 years of experience in the diesel industry and also had 6 other diesel technicians that are at an international dealership (Cummins ISB certified) techs combined 200 years of diesel technician knowledge all concluded that it very well could have been another issue on turbo times side. they did offer to send out the failed turbo for $1500 for another **** to inspect it for me. (guessing they have a buddy **** to issue a report to say what they want). but at that $1500 for a 45-minute inspection???? They offered to send my broken turbo back for $280 + shipping. I never disputed that yes, this type of failure could have been from a dirty air filter. Not sure how foreign debris can get in a closed system but that is possible as well, but I was trying to tell them in this situation this is not the cause. The warranty lady refused to call me. Just wanted to talk over email. I called and left 3 messages with the sales team who say they would never leave any of their customers to hang out. They refuse to accept that yes, turbo bearings do just fail from time to time. their product can fail just as easily as any others out there. They just will not honor their warranty. They will not honor what they say. The air filter in my truck had ***** ish miles on its time of failure. Freeway miles. They wouldn't have any of it. Too bad really. I had 3 people lined up to get their turbos. They don't want anything to do with turbo times USA now. I just want my turbo covered as they promissed.

It is very troubling to hear you feel this way, Will. We can fully appreciate the frustration a failed turbo can cause. Its frustrating for us as well when it happens to one of our customers. Its important to remember that a warranty policy does not equal insurance covering a replacement regardless of cause or conditon. You contacted us two weeks before the end of your two year warranty coverage to report a claim. Our support staff promptly provided you with warranty information as well as a complimentary return shipping label. Upon thorough turbo inspection, the cause of failure was concluded to be due to foreign debris ingestion causing clear and specific impact damage to the compressor wheel. The evidence of the damages were congruent with material ingestion along with industry wide accepted inspection analysis. Full details along with photos were also provided to you. As hard as it can be to believe when something fails outside of coverage policy, it does not imply a convenient excuse to get out of providing coverage. These things can happen quite commonly. Because you refused to accept the result findings from our company directly, we offered to have the turbo inspected by our local authorized ****** distributor, not a ***** to simply report what we want. Though your turbo was not salvageable for a rebuild, we offered you a discount on a replacement to further assist you through this situation as to not leave you without a reasonable solution. We do our best to maintain consistent communication and updates with our customers. However, some solutions and resolutions may require additional time to formulate. In some cases we may not be able to provide exact answers or decisions with every contact call or drag out debates over processes. We hope you can see that we tried to work with you providing information, support, and reasonable solutions even outside industry standard policies.
