    In November of 2013 I purchased $3,607.74 work of *************** from Advantage Lumber LLC for a back deck project at my ***************, ******* home. The company assured me it was one of two superior Brazilian hardwoods that had a lifespan of up to 50 years in the ******* climate and was much better than pressure treated lumber from the big box stores. I purchased their hidden fastner system and finished the deck by January of 2014. It was gorgeous and I was very happy. I cared for the deck by applying IPE oil twice a year to maintain the color but did enjoy the natural gradual greying of the wood. Advantage Lumber specifically told me I could let it grey and it would not affect the longevity of the wood. in ****************************************************************************************************************** early 2023 I observed a large amount of the boards begin to fall apart. The groove placed on the side of each board had allowed water to sit in the groove and the bottom portion of the grooved edges was breaking off. Only 9 years in and my deck is now a mess and falling apart. I attempted to work with management at Advantage Lumber and jumped through months of hoops providing them with my invoice, receipts, photos, etc. The deck was installed correctly, by a design approved by Advantage Lumber prior to my purchase, with airflow on three sides and 18" of clearance as indicated by the sales *********** months of expecting them to make this right for me by simply replacing the decking with non-grooved boards so I could enjoy my deck again, they claimed I was out of warranty and they could not help me. They indicated there is a 3 year warranty on the board. They advertise this wood as lasting 50 years in ******* and mine broke down in about 7. They need to make this right and replace the wood. Their cost to make this right is minimal and they should stand behind their product.

    Hi. ********. Advantage Lumber LLC is out of business. I do not know who sold the material 
    and gave 50 years of warranty for the lumber. I never heard of such a thing.
