Dr. ********************** did surgery in March 2024. It was the most painful surgery during the actual surgery that I have ever had. He failed to keep me comfortable, told me I wasn't really in pain, and his assistant told me, "you look mean" and I burst into tears because I was terrified of the surgery. I have so much dental trauma because of this experience. But after, I have been in excruciating pain. I have called the doctor ****** and ****** of times. He lied to me so many times about calling me back, and the receptionists refused to call me back. Dr. ********************** was completely ignoring me for an entire month when it is his responsibility. He then refused to speak with me over the emergency line, completely ignoring my severe pain as an emergency. He actually told the answering service, which is called Anserve, "no" When they asked if they could put me through to him. He knows exactly what he is doing and he is trying to make me intentionally suffer. He has made me want to end my life because of how much pain I am in and the amount he has ignored me. I feel completely abandoned and he did this intentionally. He has treated me like absolute garbage. He is fully responsible for what is happening with my mouth and his refusal to take my emergency call. I tried calling for an entire month and he has ignored my pain this entire time. ******************, who I spoke with once, yelled at me, blamed me, and told me to take motrin. I hope they experience what I have, the pain, suffering, and trauma I have been experience and the complete lack of help. Dr. ********************** completely lied to me and told me, "I got you" when I cried to him that I needed help A MONTH AGO. And today, May 31, 2024, he refused to speak with me over the emergency line and should lose his license for abandonment and negligence of a patient. I hope he, ******************, and the rest of this office experiences the misery they've put me through. It's disgusting that Dr. ********************** has a daughter and treats young women like this.

      Business Response

      Date: 07/25/2024

The office has responded to all requests for records and left messages for the surgeon to communicate with the patient.

A return call was made from the surgeon to the patient, the surgeon has records, no one answered. When ****************** received the pages from the patient (he is not the treating surgeon but was on call that night) he responded and asked how he could be of help so late in the evening with the patient a plane ride away. The answering service is usually used for emergencies, I understand from the team, that the patient was frustrated that she hadn't been able to connect with her surgeon and told them she'd try paging after hours.

There has been lots of communication with the patient and the office.  The medical director even tried to help by getting the patient in contact with a group in the state she is located. Unfortunately, it is not easy to follow up with in person visits, since she lives states away.

The records have been sent again, both through email and through ***** and most recently another time with a request for signature upon receipt. There was a request from the Michigan Board that was forwared to our legal team to handle.

      Complaint: 21786620

I am rejecting this response because:
There absolutely has NOT been records sent past March/April. I have repeatedly requested that I be given ALL of my records up to the present date, and that has not been done, nor have I received any by US mail or via signature. That is completely dishonest, as this entire response is. Your surgeon, including ******************, *** *********************** and **********, all completely failed to communicate with me and *** ********************** told the answering service he refused to speak with me. So did **********, who I was also told refuses to speak with me. Me being in another state is absolutely NO EXCUSE to fail to provide treatment. *** ********************** was aware of this. This entire response is medical gaslighting and blaming me as the patient for their lack of follow up and treatment. I am taking this to the New Jersey State Board. I would love to speak with your legal team on the negligence and straight up refusal to treat me. I am now in PALLIATIVE CARE due to the severity of my symptoms and the diagnosis of chronic osteomyelitis. This was not treated by *** **********************. How dare this office respond in this way. This is the biggest slap in the face, to blame me for your utter negligence and abuse. This has caused me months of constant horrible pain, which was validated by my ENT as infected and need for removal of the tooth. This is absolutely not a resolution or response. I have documentation of *** **********************'s completely inappropriate social media postings at the time of his refusal to speak with me over the answering service line. The amount of negligence here is unreal. I will absolutely be taking this further, because other doctors are having to treat me for this, when it is not their responsibility. They too are in states other than mine, and have not refused care for this reason. That is not a reason to refuse care. This office has not offered me an appt, or treatment, and has blatantly refused to communicate with me. I have every reason to include a lawyer in this. This is incredibly unethical and harmful. *** ********************** told me to give the tooth 12 weeks before he'd take it out. And that has come and gone with no follow up from him. I sought care outside the state for numerous reasons which I informed ********** of. He did NOT set up care, nor does that solve the issue at hand, which is that *** ********************** IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE POST OP COMPLICATIONS AND PAIN. IT IS HIS RESPONSIBILITY AND HOW DARE YOU TRY TO **** THIS OFF ON OTHERS. This is some of the most egregious care I have ever witnessed. How dare you blame me in this. I was recently accepted into a palliative care program due to the severity of the symptoms. And not just anyone gets approved. You have to have a severe, chronic, life altering condition, with severe symptoms. Which *** ********************** contributed to and should be absolutely ashamed of himself. How dare you blame me as the patient. I returned EVERY call to the answering service, and you are defending *** ********************** when he refused to speak with me? I'd be happy to have the Board and a lawyer pull the records from the answering service company. You have failed in every way, and I will make this known to the New Jersey board. I am still waiting on all of my records and all the communication that should be taking place from this office to myself. These "doctors" left me completely high and dry and to fend for myself, and should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. To cause these symptoms and willingly and intentionally neglect to treat it, then blame me as the patient, is unreal. I will be taking this to the Board.

      Regards,

      Good afternoon,
The records mentioned that were sent (from March/April) are up to date as there have been no visits since then, but I've asked the team to send again, and we'll require a signature so we can confirm they are getting where they need to be.  They were also emailed in June upon request, and the patient left one of her last visits with a disc that had her films on it, per her request while she was in the office that day.

I am not sure what resolution is being requested or how I can help fulfill it.

      Complaint: 21786620

I am rejecting this response because:
There is SO MUCH that is problematic with this response. The fact that this office won't call me to address any of this, the doctors refuse to communicate with me, and they never addressed a SINGLE ONE of my concerns, is mind-boggling. This office absolutely HAS to have documentation past March and April, because I had called many many times after that. You mean to tell me none of that was documented? I know it was, the staff told me the calls were all being documented. I absolutely can and should have that because that is part of my record they are concealing it. It can be subpoenaed. Also, if this office thinks that all they should have to do is send me my records and that fixes the problem, that's absolutely ridiculous. If you have to ask what I need, that's a massive problem. Do I need to remind you what your surgeon caused? And didn't follow up with? This is complete negligence. Your surgeon did a surgery that was incredibly painful, only followed up with me once with me pushing very hard for that (he didn't want to), told me to wait in agony for 12 weeks with him prescribing nothing for the pain (complete negligence), refused to call me back, refused to respond to emergency calls, refused to see me, refused to do imaging, refused to give me an antibiotic, refused to do literally anything. I am going to say this one more time, and I shouldn't have to at all. YOUR SURGEON CAUSED THIS. HE DID THE SURGERY AND WAS AND STILL IS RESPONSIBLE FOR FOLLOWING UP WITH ME AND PROVIDING POST ******** THIS IS HIS RESPONSIBILITY, AND NO ONE ELSE'S. He has put me through a litany of misery, emotionally and physically, and how in the ***** do you think it isn't his responsibility to follow up with and address. What in the world do you mean you don't know what the resolution should be?! He is responsible for this situation, and is the doctor *** is legally and morally responsible for what happened to me and his lack of care. He should be the one guiding ME on how to fix this issue, but instead he's sitting on his social media, posting completely inappropriate videos WHILE I am on the phone with the emergency line to talk to him and he's refusing to speak with me. He clearly wasn't busy, because he was posting videos of people doing Tik Tok dances, and i have the ***le thing which can be compared against the records from Anserve. This is blatant negligence. And he is profiting off telling other surgeons that they should be able to handle any post op complication and have an obligation to their patients for safe care. The irony. This is the biggest slap in the face to me. I trusted him to be a mature surgeon and do my surgery and handle my post op complications with INTEGRITY and CARE. He and this office has not even bothered to reach out to me when they know I have been going through this. They refuse to communicate with me. The audacity of them saying they don't know how to resolve this. Your doctor is an adult and should absolutely be maturely and ethically handling this. This is absurd. He hasn't even bothered to call me to check and see what he could do for me, yet this office has the audacity to act clueless as to what they should do. I have asked so many times to speak with *** *********************** ********** (medical director), and the legal or compliance department, and have been repeatedly refused. It is your responsibility. This is willful and intentional malice towards me and my care. I went this week to a general dentist and was explaining to him that *** ********************** ghosted me. He questioned why certain things weren't done, and he's a general dentist! Not even an oral surgeon! I am certain he cares more and feels awful, compared to *** ********************** *** couldn't be bothered to call me or see me when it's his literal job. This general dentist told me I should be going to an oral surgeon for removal because of my history of osteomyelitis. And I told him how *** ********************** left me in this mess. I am having redness and ulceration around the area which this doctor had to prescribe me medication for, and it is very close to the tooth *** ********************** did surgery on and left in excruciating pain. This is only making the pain worse. HE should have been handling all of this, and the fact that I have to TELL you this, is highlighting the problem. You think it's not his job to handle this and follow up? You think he's off the hook? You think he should rely on someone else to clean up his mess? You think any of this is acceptable?! Clearly you do if you're asking me what he should do. I don't know, maybe do his JOB? And be a responsible and ethical surgeon to the patients he cuts into and *****?

There is a lot written here that I will share with him but the resolution you are requesting is a call back from Dr. *****************************

      Complaint: 21786620

I am rejecting this response because:
You can share it all with him, which is what should have been done all along. I now have ulcers and redness that have developed at the surgical site, for which I've had to be put on antibiotics by someone else. I am in excruciating pain that others are having to manage. He should be managing this, not neglecting me. Others are having to order CTs and antibiotics. I had a doctor today mention biopsying the area because it is red, ulcerated, and painful. This is full neglect, along with my lack of pain management. I am miserable to the point of being suicidal.

Referred to the oral surgeon for a tooth extraction. Was asked questions about my insurance and medication. Was given x-rays and Paid $375. The office said they would get back to me they needed more information. I never heard back from the dentist office. Never had the extraction done.
